Call To Action - Twitter

in #hive4 years ago (edited)

The best article I've read featuring the birth of Hive has been published. Tim Copeland, a great writer for Decrypt has spent the last few months going over Hive's story, taking our personal accounts, and reaching out to both sides to get a fair, accurate story.

Today he published our Story. He spent countless hours of his time to tell it. We should show him gratitude by sharing his work.

Really the best piece ever written on Steem or Hive. A lot of the details put in chronological order telling people the real truth of what happened, even I learned something I didn't know from the piece.

We need to get this in front of as many people in the industry so they can hear our story!

Couldn't help myself :)

I also dropped it on Reddit.

You didn't even have to ask to get me to retweet that, great work by Tim.

What I said is true, even looking at the war, taking a side (which was always the side of the community we are today) there are things that sometimes we don't know, details that make our #HIVE home more valuable and give it meaning.

Thanks for pointing this out. It filled me in on some of what I missed at the inception of that old blockchain. Truth is, I don't even have Streem (what was it called?) on my portfolio or even know how the value is performing. HIVE on the other hand.... 😁😁

It was an incredible thing to read. I didn’t realize the amount of money you put in at the time to help us keep witness control! And the amount sun was pouring in daily to fight it!

The story is epic and I think would make a great tv series. Its got everything a producer would want. Big drama started by greed. That leads into a hostile takeover complete with restrictions of peoples freedoms. Then leads into a full on revolution ending in an epic battle that gives birth to something bigger and better that there is, literally no end in sight for what it can achieve. It is a true story that should be in every history book.
While I wasnt around to witness it first hand, my hats are off to those who did and endured through it all. You were the ones who fought to get it back and you ended up giving it us. I hope we fight as hard to keep it. Because there will always be more like Justin Son. Greed corrupts all eventually. But the conviction of those who have tasted freedom, thats a different story.

Only part is seems to be missing in MASSIVE proportions is the EFFORTS of the community at large. Sad, but not at all surprising!

Here is my contribution 😎

Go get 'em!

Very nice write. It should be filmed. It will make a good movie

This was incredible to read, I didn't knew that you were part of the first Steemit team @theycallmedan, I really admire you for this HUGE battle that was maked against Justin Sun.

I was told about the story in a superficial way, so I really didn't know how bad was all the problem about it, but I definitively don't have words to make an opinion about it, I just have to say THANK YOU and every person that made a step front against this hostile takeover and built this platform where we're all dreaming one more time!

The platform that will be the future, that will achieve every goal that wasn't made in the STEEM years, we're now ready to confront situations like that and we're a strong community that is united more than ever!

Let's keep growing and let's keep building the future!

Long live to #HIVE!

Definitely a great write up!

Well, once again I anticipated your call..! Thanks for this..!

It's a great article, happy to retweet that...

I didn't know half the stuff you write is the article! It is really very enlightening and makes me appreciate more the work that many people took to create Hive, it increases my respect and gratitude for the beehive and I am very happy to be part of it.

My link!

I must say Tim Copeland did an incredible job here. An excellent summary of the infamous Sun saga. Some of the lines literally made me relive the most hectic moments again. The epic memorable moments when the entire community united, standing side by side from the smallest minnows to the largest whales, determined to fight for our freedom until the last breath. I was so proud and moved...

Thanks for putting this masterpiece together, Mr. Copeland.

We must all contribute so that this story is known, I really liked how it was related. Thanks for sharing.

Really! Best story ever!

Great article.
Down memory lane with steem. 😅

There, an article with specific details unknown to me.

Thanks for letting us know @theycallmedan to enforce our work.

This will definitely help us newbies in understanding what and why we aare getting into this. There is no future without at least a little knowledge of the past ..

I genuinely enjoyed every bit of that article. It had me in stitches especially the embellished description of Dan. Felt like I was a fly on the wall.

Also great to know how Steemit was started and the genesis of the Ninja Mine. Nice to know Ned was a sleaze ball from the go.

I still remember this character and it makes me impotent, leader.

I always support you in Hive and follow your initiatives.

Done.
