Why anyone (specially those who just think in money, it's not criticism, it's the reality), would stake Hive and curate, instead of convert Hive in HBD and stake in savings?
Very good question, I think 20% on HBD makes staking HIVE less attractive and is not sustainable in the long run. 20% APR is paid by HIVE investors essentially by inflation (devaluing HIVE). On the other hand, HIVE has a significantly higher upwards potential during a bull market than HBD. HIVE could go 10x or even 100x during a crypto bull run. I think staking HIVE should be incentivized over staking HBD though.

Small addition, the APY will be changing depending on the consensus. Right now, we need more HBD in the system and the current APY of 21.94% compounded is reflecting that.
