Este lugar, conocido por su rica oferta gastronómica y su atmósfera encantadora, me ofreció una oportunidad única para combinar mi amor por la fotografía con mi sensibilidad hacia el arte y mi búsqueda espiritual.

Moni, my adventure partner, and I decided to visit Uribelarrea, a picturesque little town in the southern part of Buenos Aires province. This place, known for its rich gastronomic offerings and charming atmosphere, provided me with a unique opportunity to combine my love for photography with my sensitivity to art and my spiritual quest

La vieja estación de tren, ahora convertida en una oficina de policía, es un testimonio palpable de un pasado en el que la red ferroviaria jugaba un papel crucial en la vida del pueblo. Reflexionar sobre el impacto del desfinanciamiento de la red ferroviaria me permitió apreciar cómo los cambios técnicos han moldeado el destino de Uribelarrea y su comunidad.

The old train station, now converted into a police office, is a tangible testament to a past when the railway network played a crucial role in the life of the town. Reflecting on the impact of the railway network's defunding allowed me to appreciate how technical changes have shaped the fate of Uribelarrea and its community.

Mientras recorría el paisaje, los arados abandonados se presentaron como una obra de arte en sí mismos. Aunque en desuso, estos objetos evocan una profunda nostalgia y revelan la belleza en lo olvidado. Vi en ellos una oportunidad para capturar la esencia de un pasado agrícola que aún vive en los detalles de lo que quedó atrás.

As I traveled through the landscape, the abandoned plows presented themselves as a work of art in their own right. Though out of use, these objects evoke a deep nostalgia and reveal the beauty in what has been forgotten. I saw in them an opportunity to capture the essence of an agricultural past that still lives in the details of what remains.

En una esquina del pueblo, una camioneta de los años 30 o 40 se desvanece lentamente corroída por el paso del tiempo, sumergiéndose en una escena llena de nostalgia. Junto a ella, un viejo almacén alberga objetos que parecen contar historias del pasado: cajones con botellas de bebidas de los años 70, balanzas que pesaban panes para numerosas familias, bicicletas colgadas y un teléfono antiguo que habrá sido el único medio de comunicación en su época. Cada uno de estos elementos, capturados a través de mi lente, me ofreció una profunda conexión con el tiempo y el lugar.

On a corner of the town, a truck from the 1930s or 1940s slowly fades, corroded by the passage of time, immersing itself in a scene full of nostalgia. Next to it, an old store houses objects that seem to tell stories of the past: crates with bottles from the 1970s, scales that weighed bread for numerous families, bicycles hanging, and an old telephone that would have been the only means of communication in its time. Each of these elements, captured through my lens, offered me a profound connection with the time and place.

Uribelarrea ha pasado de ser un pequeño pueblo agrícola a convertirse en un centro turístico vibrante. Esta transformación, desde una perspectiva espiritual, refleja cómo un lugar puede reinventarse y encontrar nueva vida a través del turismo. Me invitó a reflexionar sobre la capacidad de un lugar para adaptarse y prosperar, manteniendo al mismo tiempo su esencia y su historia.

Uribelarrea has transformed from a small agricultural town into a vibrant tourist center. This transformation, from a spiritual perspective, reflects how a place can reinvent itself and find new life through tourism. It prompted me to reflect on the ability of a place to adapt and thrive while still maintaining its essence and history.

Pasé la tarde en Uribelarrea, inmortalizando su belleza a través de la cámara de mi celular mientras disfrutaba de la tranquilidad del campo. Merendamos con el sol escondiéndose detrás de las casitas, rodeados de hectáreas de campo con vacas pastando y el aire fresco del campo. El sol, nuestro guía, iluminó cada rincón del lugar, enriqueciendo mi experiencia y ofreciendo un marco perfecto para la reflexión y el aprendizaje.

I spent the afternoon in Uribelarrea, capturing its beauty through my cell phone camera while enjoying the tranquility of the countryside. We had a snack with the sun setting behind the little houses, surrounded by hectares of fields with grazing cows and the fresh country air. The sun, our guide, illuminated every corner of the place, enriching my experience and providing a perfect backdrop for reflection and learning.

Mi visita a Uribelarrea, como docente, fotógrafo amateur y buscador espiritual, fue una experiencia enriquecedora. La combinación de historia, arte y espiritualidad me ofreció una visión profunda y multifacética del pueblo. Desde la estación abandonada hasta los arados y los objetos nostálgicos del almacén, cada elemento contribuyó a una experiencia que capturó mi imaginación y mi corazón.

My visit to Uribelarrea, as a teacher, amateur photographer, and spiritual seeker, was an enriching experience. The combination of history, art, and spirituality provided me with a deep and multifaceted view of the town. From the abandoned station to the plows and the nostalgic objects in the store, each element contributed to an experience that captured both my imagination and my heart.
