Hive Secondary Airdrop: No Additional Airdrops

in #hiveblockchain4 years ago (edited)

By voting for this proposal, you are voting against airdropping Hive funds to any account that is being considered by the community for a secondary drop. This proposal shows support for continuing forward with the distribution that was established during the first block of the Hive blockchain, and for not changing or adding any new airdrops going forwards.

There are two main groups being considered for secondary airdrops, which can be found here:

Voting for this "No Airdrop" proposal does not mean you cannot vote for one of the secondary airdrop groups if you support it. You also can vote for any individual proposals that may arise in the future, which will be measured against this "No Airdrop" proposal vote total.

This allows for less cost and complexity for the community as a whole, and also means that voters who choose to support "No Airdrops" now will be able to add their vote to any future proposals should they support a specific appeal and would like it to pass.

For more information, read the in-depth post about the secondary airdrop and community decision process on the main @hiveio account:

You can use multiple interfaces to interact with proposals to the DHF.

Three of the best options available currently are Hivedao.com, the PeakD.com interface, and the

Hive Secondary Airdrop: No Additional Airdrops is Proposal #103

Sort:

As one of the victims of malicious actions performed by Steem witnesses, that prevented me from controlling my assets (rewards for my 4 years of work dedicated to Steem), I'm going to vote for Proposal #103: "Hive Secondary Airdrop: No Additional Airdrops".

“This is a classic ideological split: the people who actively want a centralized chain can stay on Steem, the ones that don't will build Hive.”

Current voting is about two groups, and since there are obvious bad actors there, it's also obvious choice for me.

I see no reason to reward people who are actively working against what we build here.

That being said if there are honest mistakes I'm open to consider individual proposals when they arise.

As my pilot, you always got my vote. Proposal#103 got my vote.

Individual proposals should have been done first so only the bad actors are left on the list.

Which might be the case. There are 7 days to go so I wait for more informations to surface.

Is it too late to vote for this proposal?

I would wish that there will be some individual consideration to the names on the first list. I don't know the circumstances of most of those names, but I do know that @farm-mom and @thebigsweed should be given their air drop tokens. They are valuable members of the Hive community and there are many of us that want to see this situation resolved fairly.

If the groups don't get airdropped then individuals can make their case via a the Hive Proposal System.

Thanks. I hope that is made clear and that everyone understands how to do that.

That's the wrong way around. The innocent should have been
refunded and taken off the list first.

I can't vote for a punishment proposal if only one innocent person is on the list.

I think it's basically what level of activity in support of JSun's decentralisation of Steem is regarding as innocent and what is not. Each of us have a different idea for this.
Is voting for sock puppets via proxies innocent or not? For those not looking what their proxies were doing, is that negligent or innocent?

Given that:

  • funds of 8 accounts are frozen on the Steem blockchain
  • blogs of 11 accounts are actively censored
  • attempts are made by Steemit inc to further censor information they don't like
    (source: Steem Censorship Report)

And given that:

  • both groups in Proposal #101 and #102 include users voting for witnesses running Steem softfork v0.22.888, thereby supporting the above mentioned disapproved actions

I'm going to vote for Proposal #103: "Hive Secondary Airdrop: No Additional Airdrops",

This stance is valid unless Steem softfork v0.22.8888 is rolled back, in which case I might reconsider my decision.

I am open to reconsidering individual proposals if any.

Airdrop the innocent users that got excluded from the initial Airdrop I must say.

Once they unfreeze the users locked on Steem and figure out a way to refund @darthknight for his lost funds.

Thanks for the initiative.

But why is there only one opposite proposal for two supportive proposals?

Could you please split the Hive Secondary Airdrop: No Additional Airdrops into two proposals:

  1. Hive Secondary Airdrop: No Airdrops for Direct Vote Accounts
  2. Hive Secondary Airdrop: No Airdrops for Proxied Vote Accounts

It's worse. This proposal also opposes all future individual proposals of those who where added to the list by mistake. And that did happen as there was a bug in the software creating the list.

I would just like to point out that this voting system is either corruptly set up to skewer the results, or whoever set it up just put no thought into it what-so-ever.

What if someone wants to vote yes for proxied, but no for direct? They have to vote for no additional airdrop AT ALL. Same vice-versa.

For the amount weeks you have spent leading up to this, it is very poorly set up. I have a feeling that is intentional though.

Where's the option to burn it?

They are already burned. This is the proposal to have them restored from the ashes.

And this is not an easy decision as there was a bug in the software who created the initial list so innocent people got on the list.

And it there is only one innocent person on the list then:

“That it is better 100 guilty Persons should escape than that one innocent Person should suffer, is a Maxim that has been long and generally approved.”Benjamin Franklin

"We are all born ignorant but one must work hard to remain stupid"

- Benjamin Franklin

Then I'm glad I'm always prepared to change my mind in the light of new information.

Of course, a quote without additional informations is pretty useless and will be dismissed by the reader as the passive aggressive jab it is.

You might want to take an example at @dhimmel and @eturnerx who provided additional information which have the potential of changing my mind.

It's a good idea to burn the Hive instead of leaving it in the Dao. Transfer to @null before it is granted to well connected individuals. Who exactly on that list made a mistake? Updating witness votes to sock accounts takes some effort and people who accidentally do something like that don't really deserve free crypto. They are working hard to be stupid.

The genuine mistakes will be refunded and so are not on this list.

That too is an important information missing on the proposal.

Not mentioning this information on the proposal is huge mistake because for me at least this is the deal breaker.

They are already burned. This is the proposal to have them restored from the ashes.

Are you sure? I thought the seized funds were allocated to @steem.dao rather than @null.

@steem.dao estimated Account Value $ 32,105,540.72

You might be right. That would put another interesting twist on the proposal. Glad I haven't voted yet as I have to reconsider information.

Choises have been made. It's clear, however mistakes should be considered individually.

if there are honest mistakes I'm open to consider individual proposals when they arise.

I think that these people can make more hive with work and they have all the steem and if they want to trade for hive that's open too.

Or buy some hive.

But they made their beds. We are 2 different places.

The community has spoken and the censorship and attempt to abuse the community as well as Justin Scum lieing and manipulation?

Nope. Here I cast my vote and stand up for it.

Voted! Shared.

It's easy for you to sit on your high horse and pass judgment. For those of us who have been wrongly excluded, and for you to already have formed such a strong opinion on the fact that those excluded should stay excluded is a testament to your character.

Awe. I don't vote your way and you act like a child.

Go earn some rewards or buy in. You can always trade steem for hive.

Love how you demand the airdrop. Entitled much?

But they made their beds.

Not all of them. There has been a bug in the software and innocent account where added to the exclusion list. The proposal should have mentioned that.

Some say the innocent have been taken off. Others say some innocent are still on the list. As it is the proposal is a mess.

7 days to go so maybe the smoke will clear.

We move on. No airdrop required. I'm voting for this one.

I vote for this: No Additional Airdrops is Proposal #103

You have my vote.

I am recommending this proposal to @darkflame, @rawbe, @steemvpn, @timhorton, @zelegations, @cerberus-dji, @dentalsteem and @darkpylon

I am new to Hive, but do not want these bad actors getting into attack us, I support #103

considering that individual cases will still be considered, I vote for this proposal

I don't know how there could be ANY community trust in accounts that supported @justinccp's blatant theft and attempted tyranny over the blockchain

Read the small print: This proposal is also opposes individual cases so every individual case needs more votes the #103.

I did read the post

Voting for this "No Airdrop" proposal does not mean you cannot vote for one of the secondary airdrop groups if you support it. You also can vote for any individual proposals that may arise in the future, which will be measured against this "No Airdrop" proposal vote total.

the ONLY people that need to be considered for airdrops are those mistakenly omitted; there should be absolutely zero blanket amnesties, and each individual application must be on it's own merit.

That's the wrong way around. You are innocent until proven guilty.

There should be absolutely zero blanket punishment and each individual guilt must be proven beyond reasonable doubt.

Leaving it to a hastily written Script to determine guilt was wrong from the beginning. And the fact that there where “mistakes” at all shows that the black list was ill advised.

We support only this proposal. No additional airdrop for any reason. Reasons can always be manufactured irrespective of whether they are true or false.
