We continue our work and the journey we have taken with you with additional concepts, stages and steps.

Introducing financial stages

After presenting several stages relating to the social aspects of Hive, let's now see a little bit about the financial side, another important part of the Hive ecosystem.

There are a lot of financial operations that can be performed on the Hive blockchain. So as not to drown you from the start, we will first discuss the operations related to the tokens you have: HIVE, HP and HBD

As you can see, no less than 23 new steps are offered to you to discover the different financial actions. Remember that the Hive blockchain is a feeless transaction. This means that there are no hidden costs when you do these operations. A good reason to give these a try and complete your tour.

Here are the main stages we release with this new update:

1. Managing HIVE

HIVE is the primary currency of the Hive blockchain. It is also referred to as a coin and that is typically the first one a Hive user encounters.

HIVE is a liquid token and there is no restriction to transferring or trading it.

Holding HIVE does not provide any direct financial return or any right on the blockchain's governance.

2. Managing Hive Power

Hive Power (HP) is simply HIVE that you have staked (which is also referred to as "powered up")

Your HIVE that has been converted to Hive Power will then be less liquid, as it takes 13 weeks to convert it back to HIVE.

In return, you will benefit in the form of rewards for your curation work, and you will have a say in the allocation of the reward pool, as well as in the governance of the blockchain.

The steps from this stage will help you familiarize yourself with this transformation process.

3. Managing HBD

HBD, or Hive Backed Dollars or Hive Dollars, are another of the three tokens in the Hive ecosystem.

It is loosely pegged to the US dollar and can be printed (generated) as a part of your post rewards.

More to come

We have worked a lot in the last few days on the next steps. We can therefore make other regular releases next month, after the Hive Power Up Day.

By the way, the Hive Power Up Day starts tomorrow. Take part and you will kill two birds with one stone since there is one of the financial stages which involves doing a power-up.

We haven't finished having fun. Stay tuned!

Great developments guys and gals! This will be a great way to teach new people to Hive how to do wallet tasks and get familiar with that aspect of it!

Wow, thanks for your feedback @nickyhavey!!!! We really appreciate it 😊

Cool deal, I've been "saving up" some Hive for the Power up day and will join tomorrow 😊

A nice state of mind! Thanks for your feedback @bulldog-joy 😉👍

This is so great! It makes me laugh remembering how all of us stumbled along blindly trying to find this information! 😉

Thanks for your comment @melinda010100 😊🌹

Great updates day by day the page is getting bigger and bigger thats great ♥️🙏

This little series you are creating is SOOOO necessary for people on this platform. Especially the new people. That said, there is so much going on that I think you can probably continue this in perpetuity. Not only will the new people get good use out of it, but a lot of the veterans will find it very instructive as well. There's just no way for one person to keep up with what's happening AND post their own content AND curate new content AND....etc. Thanks for putting this together. I look forward to more coming...

This, I think, is a really critical element of the tour. I am sure that I am not alone in saying that I found the Hive tokens confusing enough and mostly stay away from the others. I may be a Hive veteran, butnkn these issues, I am a total novice. I will have a proper tour when I am at my laptop.

Finding information right at the start will help so many after we stumbled around in the dark for months. Thanks @hivebuzz

Congratulations @hivebuzz! You received a personal badge!

You powered-up at least 10 HIVE on Hive Power Up Day!
Wait until the end of Power Up Day to find out the size of your Power-Bee.
May the Hive Power be with you!

You can view your badges on your board and compare yourself to others in the Ranking
