LeoFinance and Actifit are sending 4 Hivers to HiveFest!

in #hivefest2 years ago (edited)

Man, we are less than ten days away from Hive Fest and I'm pretty sure @roelandp and everyone else is excited as hell to meet everyone for the hopefully 5th time in a row!

For all the first timers, don't be anxious and don't worry, the ice gets broken on the first 5 minutes during the opening drinks and registration - I would know, I've been to 3 hivefests and I've made tons of friends in the first day, and so will you.

In order to break the ice a little bit on behalf of my new friends, I want to introduce the 4 @blocktrades Hivefest winners, sponsored hand in hand by @leofinance and @actifit!

I joined 25.11.2016, after getting fired, had an interesting learning curve, till after a post about a concert in June 2017, a fellow from Germany invited me for a meetup and explained me some stuff, helping with delegations.

Seeing the potential, decided to power up 3000 when it was over $1 in Sept 2017. The chain is changing and is evolving in the right direction, where people with different interest can coexist. With Hive, I've managed to meet so many interesting people, from all over the world, with different life stories, different background, that have enriched my experience.

Attending the HiveFest 3, I was amazed by the organization, which has been over exceeding any expectation. I think, despite the tough economical environment that the HiveFest in Amsterdam will be a blast for everyone present, especially after two years of quarantine.

I'm super happy to have the chance to be there.

I joined in January 2018 and was lucky to stumble upon some great photo community (Jarvie and Asgarth were few of them, so I've seen Peakd being built, it started as a talk about some stats tools) and photogames.

That kept me on the chain and gave me the opportunity to learn about crypto. Watching live all the things that were happening with JS, steem and hive was cool and showed how important community is.

I do try to follow as much as I can of everything that is happening on Hive, and am always happy to test out everything that comes out. From dlux VR galleries (made several), LeoMobile, to running a node for SPKnetwork. Had an idea to go to the Fest in Poland, but ended up not going.

I was very happy when I heard HiveFest is happening again in Europe. Looking forward to it.

When did you join?
I know that date quite well as it falls together with the foundation of my entrepreneurial ecosystem on July 8, 2017.

What’s your experience?
I think practicing the separation of body and mind is a very unhealthy lifestyle and very few who are actually aware of their screentime have found a solution to this. Most of them still spending too much time sitting and far more people need to know that there are established incentive models like Actifit to get us moving. Many Hivers know me from my “sitting side” @sciencevienna. Last Sunday I did a lot of emotional work for my last cryptoart piece for 2022 on NFT Showroom, which also reflected in my activity of that day, I didn't even reach the minimum 5000 via my fitness account @mochita. Certainly, this happens very sporadically, and usually I'm rather imbued with creative new ideas when doing freeletics, exercising, training in the gym or jogging at Danube Canal in Vienna.

How do you feel about Hive?
Hive is the future. Since our hardfork from Steem(it) I get the feeling that we’re all way more aware of echo chambers. In Proof of Stake systems, the issue of whales definitely needs to be taken very seriously as it is the only mainstay to break monopolistic tendencies. With google and facebook we’ve seen how effective law can be in Europe, lot of edentulous critique and in the end, we communicate through those channels anyway. With Hive, for the first time in our lives, we have a toolset at our fingertips that allows us to leave the old web2 sewage system behind, get some fresh air and see what we can find on the surface. I think Hive’s layer 0, the communities are thriving, and they will be the driving forces for a lot crypto and blockchain innovations.

How do you feel about Hivefest?
I’m attending for the first time and I’m very honored to be one of the lucky winners to be able to give back to the community and experience a great time together with other Hivers in person. Hivefest is an important contribution to connect us cryptopreneurs, freelancers, cryptoartists and cryptobloggers. We are way too much used to social media corporations defining the field and ruling our lives in a top-down manner, now it's the time to break out of our prisons. Hivefest, besides giving us lots of opportunities, provides us with the ability to move away from our everyday consuming passivity and finally become active. From being observers we become active participants, this is very refreshing to me.

What are you expecting?
We're building the web3 future and I expect a lot of enriching conversations about how we can take the whole ecosystem to the next level. I wish we can lay the groundwork for scientists, academics, philosophers, athletes and artists who are still very much caught up in the constraints of the fiat world, many more need to find out that STEMsocial, Sciencevienna, Actifit and NFT Showroom exist. Hivefest is a cornerstone in this regard, and I hope that we will also see hive-specific dance performances in the coming years. The film "Freechain" is a great project and I hope to learn more about it at the upcoming Hivefest.

In January 2020 i decided to make more sports and to get more active on hive (steem). So my first Post was an Actifit-Post on January 5th 2020. Unfortunately i broke one of my toes and started on the exercice bike. But since that day i am a part of this community.
I still live a sporty life. Every now and then I go jogging, Nordic walking and I also do cross-fit twice a week.

hive is versatile. There are games like risingstargames, where I've been involved since the beginning and will soon do the 100th weekly giveaway, or splinterlands where I'm active in the Legendary Unicorns guild and have also played most of the Bralws.

Then I also like to write posts in the Beer Community about detlev's Beersaturday or sometimes just something that interests me at the moment.
I think Hive still has a lot of potential. In my opinion, it belongs in the top 100 in terms of market capitalization.

At the Hivefest I am especially looking forward to meet people in real life, which I know for a long time "online".

There you go! Go follow these Hivers and get ready to meet them in person!

What about you, are you planning on being on Amsterdam in September? Will we see you there?

All the liquid HBD will be used to help fund the HiveFest tickets of these awesome Hivers, so spare a vote!

Congratulations!!!
I will mentally be there for sure!

Wow congratulations to them! Never knew abt the promo haha. Hope they all have fun indeed. 👍

Pretty nervous because of the vaccine ban. Just hope they don't stop me at the train station and ask me for my papers.
