A massive hello to everyone on this beautiful platform. It's been a while here and I must say I miss being in this space. It's another edition for this week and according to the theme the week's second edition that we should write about a terrifying take which has promted me to write about an ordeal I experienced about seven years ago.
It was a very bright morning when I woke up and prepared for work. I was a sales clerk at an animal feed an drug depot (for birds and ruminant animals to be precise) and I sometimes help around with running of errands. I knew so much about all kinds of these animals illness and the kind of drugs and dosages to be administered to the animals for them to get well till I earned the name "Small doctor" because if my stature 😁.
Then it happened one day when I was sent to go get some vertinary items for our store from an wholesale company. I got to the location, began to shop and I was very excited that I was helping my boss because it was very rare if her to send anyone on such errands, she always prefers to go by herself.
I got all the stuffs on my list ad prepared to leave, I called her to let her know that I'm done shopping Andi was about to leave. Then, I boarded a bike that would take me down to the bus stop where I'd board the next bus. On our way, I suddenly heard a loud bang and before I knew it, I was on the floor with the bike man and all the goods I went to get were laying aimlessly on the floor.
I felt numb immediately as I laid on the floor in pains. I couldn't lift any part of my body as people were rushing down to the accident scene to help us to the hospital. We were rush down to the hospital, my eyes were wide open but I couldn't speak Even though I tried so much to speak. People were asking me questions in how to reach my people but I couldn't answer them, not because didn't want to but because I couldn't speak nor lift any of my body part for description or demonstration. I was SCARED, I thought I was going to die.
Fortunately for me, they found my bag, took my phone and called my boss who called my parents. The doctor said I was unable to d anything because of the sudden shock my body underwent. They treated me and I was getting better until the discovered my right hand had dislocated from it shoulder joint because of the physical swelling they saw. They began treating me till the hospital bill was getting too much and my parents couldn't help but take me to a traditional orthopedic hospital. I was there for months that I was scared my hand might get amputated but to God be the glory, here I am today with testimonies in my mouth.
It was a very terrifying time for me and I must confess that I was extremely scared that I might either die or lose a part of my body because I was in excruciating pains. Since then, I had known the true essence of life and why I should appreciate God for giving me a second chance at life. With the help of my family and friends, I was able to get well and also overcome the trauma. Nothing beats having good people around you...... This is me in a very recent picture below looking all Hale and hearty.
