Creating a new community to reward analytical, linguistic, and problem solving skills

Proof of skills

This is what I would like to call it. A community to earn rewards for rule-defined correct answers, not undefined "good content".

The backdrop

As we know, there are many ways in which the content creators, and curators are being rewarded on Hive. I have been on this platform for 11 days now. As a newcomer I have seen some positives and some shortcomings. While it is easy for people from certain countries to get noticed easily because there exist country-specific groups, for most, it is not so. Add to this, the fact that as a trend, I have seen women getting more upvotes (for obvious reasons). Thirdly, I have seen some curators decalring that upvoting is based on their choice, not bound by any rule or standard. This questions the basics of decentralization.

Contrary to this, another set of curators are also quite beovelent and support newcomers. I have also seen several contests running to support the newbies.
Many communities award "good" content. Again, the definition of "good" is quite variable.

As a result, while lots of efforts are being done to onboard new members to Hive, most of them are not retained due to the lack of competitiveness or shall I say, "open market". Knowing existing big curators or belonging to a specific nationality or knowing a specific art form or content creation is not possible for everyone.

Considering all these prevalent situations, I decided to try out something different. This is what I call Proof of skills.

The concept & the solution

I am going to build a new community where I shall post puzzles, quizzes, comprehensions and much more such contests which will have definite correct answers. A specific rule to award the users who choose to interact within the community. As a result, the users shall get upvoted accoring to the correctness of their replies/posts in relation to the above-mentioned taks.

Benifits for the users - both old and new

Allowing contests with definite answers will allow the users to get upvoted for correct answers. This will not depend on the individual thinking of any curator as what means "good" content.
This will benifit new users most, irrespective of whether they know any curator personally/belong to any specific region or country/ any other disadvantages that newbies face. At the same time, it will equally benifit old users if they have the correct answers.

More engagement

Obviously, this system will encourage more participants since it gives a fair chance of wiinning a contest without having any clout of voters behind.

Onboarding and retaining new users - the core of decentralization

As the birth of Hive itself was to preserve the decentralization and preventing takeover by someone with lots of money, a system of fair upvoting for pre-defined "correct answers" over the variable definition of "good content" will encourage new users to oboard and gain, which will eventually lead to the increase in user base and truly decentralizing and moving to web 3.0. It will also reduce the dependence of earning by newbies, on the persoal moods of the curators.

I hope all the curators that I have met or seen so far will give their valuable suggestions & upvotes if they like the concept.
