HIVEPUD, Paying it Forward and a Free Social Media Session

Even though I really wanted to write something, yesterday was really to much of a busy day. But I do still want to give a huge thanks to several people, so I'm still writing this post even though Hive Power Up Day has already passed.

A #HIVEPUD shoutout to HiveBuzz!

First off I want to give a big shoutout to @hivebuzz for fully gamifying the Hive Power Up Day! According to Hivebuzz Badge data, in total 371 Hive users powered up 10 HP on October 1st, which is more than last month's Hive PUD (334). They've also included a Hive Power Up Helper Badge, which you can read more about here.

But I want to give an extra special thank you to the HiveBuzz team for Powering Up 50 HP to me!

This gave me a little more opportunity to pay it forward as well.

Paying it forward

Last week I promised to pay forward some of my earnings, which I have yet to do, so I figured yesterday would be a good day to give back. Since @achim03 was the first to respond to my pay it forward post and he already ran the @help.venezuela campaign, I decided the earnings (and a little extra) had to go his way, and since it was Hive Power Up Day, I powered up 15 HP.

As I wanted to rewards someone from the Venezuelan community directly as well, I decided to delegate 100 HP to @victoriabsb, because of all the hard work she is putting in for the Spanish speaking Hive Community, translating all the HIVEPUD and HiveChat posts and getting everyone to join in.

So thank you Victoria! The delegation is unconditional. Just a small token of appreciation.

Last but not least I decided to reach out to several member in the Hive Suriname community. In the past months, I onboarded around 20 people to Hive, of which 7 during the Join Hive initiative. Unfortunately, not everyone stays active. So a shoutout to @motev, @dowie and @raishmi for being active members representing Suriname. I've Powered Up 15 HP for you on Hive Power Up Day.

Free Social Media Session

The long awaited Social Media in a Post Covid World will finally be held today. It is a free session in which I will share some general Social Media knowledge which can be useful for both individuals as business. I couldn't come up with a suiting time for everyone, so it will be held at 6 PM GMT today (October 2nd) and it will be recorded and uploaded to @threespeak in the weekend.

Other news

I'm trying my best to stay active on Hive this month, as life here in Suriname gets a little more hectic in October. We have the Social Media Conference Suriname at the end of the month and other projects are piling up. I'm committing to the #IAmAliveChallenge until I reach day 100 and will be on Hive daily, but will be a little less active than usual.

As I'm taking over the logistical duties of the #HiveChat from @hivepeople for the next couple of months, I will be providing weekly HiveChat updates, starting this weekend with the Host announcements for October. More info coming soon.
