Christmas tree2 - hooking ornaments crop Dec. 2022.jpg

On Saturday I got more decorating of the house done and the garlands off the office tree. Mostly I worked on a project with my brother for several hours.

On Sunday I got all the garlands back on the office tree. It still needs at least 1 more long one or 2 - 3 short ones for the bottom. That will have to be next year.

Then I started putting hooks on the ornaments, working each box top until empty then moving onto the next . There were 7 of them I think.

By 10AM I had a couple of boxes done of them when my brother called. I went back to work on his project for a couple hours, had some lunch, and got started again.

I finished the tree about 3PM and my son helped me move it into place. It still needs its topper and tree skirt, but they are on their way.

I had one more box of decorations but I couldn’t open it until I got the 9 boxes for the ornaments moved to the hall to go upstairs. The last box had my little kissing ball and the office tree in it.

I had just finished when Tom arrived with the milk order. We visited for a few and then I got the window candles lit and finally sat down.

I am glad to have this job done. Now I can enjoy the lights and music. On Monday I may be working more on my brother’s project. I also have laundry to do, and I must put all of the dozens of boxes back in the store room. Those boxes will probably do me it. It’s a major Tetris job…

I just love your decorations which show so much about your personality and that "kissing ball" is beautiful. What a monumental task that was for you with such a large tree. I hope you keep it up well into the new year to enjoy it for a long time. Have a wonderful holiday season.

Well, I can keep it up as long as I want because the strict rule enforcer is no longer here, so it might become a new tradition...
