On Saturday I was up at 4:30AM and worked on the photos for the post for a long time. Once I had the post up, I did some online shopping until 10AM.
It had mostly stopping raining, was just drizzly and cold. I dressed for it and went out and cleaned out the trash shed. Getting the truck to the shed and then back around into the driveway was challenging with that big plow on.
I went inside to try to warm up and around noon my son went with me to the dump. Fortunately there were almost no cars coming and going. So we made it without incident.
But I was really chilled and tired and ended up going to bed to get warm. I slept for 2 hours and finally got up at 4:30PM to turn on the candles and light the fires in both stoves.
Tom arrived about 5:30PM to fix my printer. I watch a video of his parents’ renewal of vows from last weekend while he worked on the printer. He got it printing in black again. He said he’s going to try the cleaning system I had gotten last year to see if he can get the color working. He’ll be back on Sunday to do that and to install the new-to-me monitor screen on the laptop in the living room.
Because I slept so late in the afternoon, I didn’t get to bed until 10PM. On Sunday I hope to finish all the things I was supposed to do on Saturday. Clean the kitchen, make the cranberry orange relish, put the laundry away, and work on the tree.
Printer working again is good for sure!
I do hope the cold has passed and it didn't trouble you much yesterday. You did well to take on the chores despite the cold. Thanks for the update and happy Sunday.
The cold is only getting started! Winter is coming!
That’s quite early
Is that the time you wake up everyday?
Pretty much...
Whenever everywhere is snowy, how do you farm?
Is it possible to farm then?
Farming ceases here in October unless you have hoophouses or greenhouses.
How I wish we could experience the cold weather too just like you people , the climate here is so hot.
Wow! You got up too early!
We need the rain. Hope it wouldn’t rain any more for a few days.
That’s a bit later than I usually get up…
