Author Catherine Parr Strickland Traill wrote over 22 books in her lifetime. She was born 1802 in Rotherhithe, located SE of London. She immigrated to Canada around 1832.
She offers first hand advise from economic decorating "front room", foraging for wild foods, gardening/preserving harvest & creating a home in the Canadian Wilderness.
