Back to Blogging

As I talked about in my
last post
, I have found using Hive somewhat less than intuitive. Ecency makes posting super simple, but the whole Hive blog thing still confuses me.

I've been on the Web since its inception. Before that I was on Prodigy, AOL (when it was America OnLine), CompuServe, etc. I even ran my own FidoNet BBS. I started blogging back when it first became a "thing" so I'm not a computer or Internet newbie. (I'm just old!) However, I must admit that the whole blockchain world as it relates to social media and blogging, especially, has me a bit flummoxed. I'm committed to unraveling it and finding my way but it will take some trial and error — as evidenced by my accidental dual Hive accounts.

I started posting Actifit reports over at my other Hive identity though. Although focused on fitness, those posts do contain a brief peek into my tiny house homesteading life.

From time to time I may link to some of my future Actifit reports / fitness posts but here on this blog I'll primarily be chatting or ranting or showing off or explaining about a lot of my daily adventures in homesteading off-grid and my own self-sufficiency journey.

Til then, check out these posts:

As the Wind Blows
🍃I talk about multitasking my way through being active and getting stuff done (#gsd).

Blood on the Dance Floor
is an introduction into just one way I sometimes get going in the morning (aside from coffee — there's almost always ☕).

My Homesteading Workout
gives a glimpse of how I do laundry 🧺 and mow the yard. No motors involved in either task. This is part of the "off off-grid" aspect of my life — something I'll chat more about going forward.
