How to throw a great party

I'm a party person and I hate awkward silence and people not talking at my party. So here's a guide to throwing the perfect party:

Guest List

This is important because, if you invite dull people or too many people that dont get along. Its going to be a disaster.

A joker - the person who'll do anything for attention. But keep it to 1 joker per 10 people otherwise 2 jokers fight for attention.

Card freak- Most parties have a guy who plays cards and knows the weirdest card games. This person helps the games get started.

Bartender- As a host dont be a bartender, this is a job for someone who enjoys this and its not hard to find people who like mixing drinks.

DJ- Some people have the best collection of music. They keep on changing the music according to the vibe of the party.

The foodie- If you start ordering food for everyone according to their liking good luck. You need a food genius to make everyone happy.

The babysitter- When everyone gets drunk, you need a sympathetic soul to hold back their hair.

Dancing queen- the one who can shake their moneymaker so that others can copy their lead.

The host- You have to mingle and be all of these roles at different points of time, but mostly you have to oversee everything. Like a boss.

If it's a day party, a barbecue guy is also recommended.

Send invites 2 weeks before a party so you can block calendars

Shopping:

Ask drink preferences beforehand. Keep three basic drinks. If someone has alternate preferences, tell them to bring their own booze.
DON"T TRY TO MAKE EVERYONE HAPPY AT THE SAME TIME!

Crowd pleasing snacks like chips and nuts.

paper plates, cups and spoons.

Get dips. Dips make everything fancy.

Kitchen paper towels

The day of the party

Wear something comfortable, because you're going to be doing a lot of running around.

Greet guests and see that they seated and have a drink.

Have an anecdote prepared to get the conversation going.

Introduce the people who haven't met by telling them something that is common between them.

Fun Games:

These games will never let the party down

  1. Personal variations of Beer Pong - A classic that has several variations, like truth or dare beer pong, shot glass pong if your friends are up for it.

2.Pizza Treasure Hunt- This one is one of my own. You hide pizza slices in places and ask people to go seek.

3.Blind candy tasting- Sounds straughtforward but my friends and I throw in some nasty things.

4.Rant- everyone has something to rant about, give them a minute to vent.

5.Kidnap- You kidnap one of your friends and hide them in a safe place.

6.Clean the host's house- nobody really likes this game.
