This last month was incredibly busy, yes. But before we get through all the action, let's take out of the way the new stuff that everyone should be paying attention (at least if you are participating on the giveaway).

(It's an old post for me to keep the rules updated and avoid repetition, but don't worry, I will tell people once there are big changes like this time around)

First of all, I would like to say A massive THANK YOU to everyone that has been supporting, testing, purchasing and providing feedback onto this initiative. I confess that after a few hours of starting this, I was already feeling like to "give up", but then I set my mind to give it a little bit more time (since costs where not yet something astronomical), and for now, I will keep working out this way.

The idea is simple, HIVE exposure!

And yes, it has to be sustainable and eventually if it turns out that is going on the right direction, I can move things to a more professional route, and bring back some of the profit back into HIVE. Ideally interfacing with existing tools developed by other witnesses allowing direct sales via HIVE/HBD or other side chain tokens for example.

Either way, I am accepting HBD already, and I have a sort of a manual process of doing it. Check out @forkyishere post here if you are interested.

Truth to be told, it has been quite a bumpy road, figuring out some of the "hidden problems" within these e-commerce tools. Especially when within these businesses tools some are not prepared to integrate with your country laws.

At first, it looked all very easy to setup and I could focus on what would make the difference (designing), but then I started experiencing the "why's" of these are not as lucrative as some might think, and that you are mostly feeding the big giants that already monopolized the business.

Therefore you have multiple problems to solve, such as, the usual country fees (different ones depending both on production and the purchasing country), the business tools itself fees and other logistics within the transportation schemes, among others I haven't even found probably.

Like something @acidyo said on a tweet some time ago, "all I read is fees, fees and more fees..." - exactly that! 😤

In a nutshell, it's very hard to keep prices down unless you have huge amounts of volume and/or subscribe to paid premiums where you can extract some extra margin.

So, if you see prices that are too high for you (or the product quality), don't get me wrong as in the likes of "trying to squeeze tons of profit". It will likely be the product cost that is super high, or me trying to normalize other costs that aren't simple direct percentages formulas.

And please, do let me know. I'm still exploring all this stuff and trying to figure out where the heck I am going with all of this, but for now is mostly about trying to find all the dark corners, or most of them at least, all with very little time.

Finishing on a positive note, there's not yet tons of traffic within Etsy, and most of the attention is because of ALL YOUrselfs do, share, etc. But I can already see some interesting applications of extra exposure via these platforms, and where I can balance the effort of the initiative, in exchange of getting HIVE more attention in a regular basis.

And if possible, over time, have this thing run by itself with fewer adjustments. So, yeah, Thank you again! I don't feel I am yet there, but for me it's already a enriching experience and with it a steep learning curve (that almost comes for free).

🤖 Golem Overlord

I have been pushing my way up over the ranks with Golem Overlord, and the idea was to be around or above rank 200, although that looks like not happening. Everyone is playing quite hard above rank 700, so it requires a bit more time. Might need at least another week if my estimates are right.

Also did offer 3 accounts on this giveaway for the game promotion last week. But I didn't have the massive response I was expecting. 😅 Maybe people do LOVE their precious HIVE a LOT more than I thought. 🙃 Which is something that would not surprise me.

Either way, congrats to the winners! They basically got free accounts to play the game. And if you don't want to miss stuff like this in the future, you know where I am. I usually spread the word on Twitter too, just to get more exposure (but I have a feeling it's still not enough, so I will keep working on that).

🍑 dCrops

On dCrops I am cooking finally! The stove took a wee bit to get ready, but I am now gaining XP by practicing the recipes, which will increase the bonuses each time to cook those particular ones.

Note that you will need to burn several #NFTs of a particular recipe to allow your XP to evolve into higher levels and access higher bonuses.

I feel now that opening all my NFTs was a "not so intelligent move". Important to mention, that retaining some packs (if you don't need them) or CROP tokens is quite useful if you are doing the quests every fortnight. Why? Well, the amount of rewards you get in your chest increases with your CROP Power, which is based on how many packs and CROP tokens you hold.

I need to get a lot of CROP now, to recover the increased chest rewards I previously had. So, I will be trying to pay attention to any sorts of promotions that get me advantage either buying packs or getting CROP tokens. Maybe holding CROP on the pool could start counting for the CROP power? Any chances of that being on the pipeline @dcrops?

I have been a bit silent on this one for a while but that doesn't mean I am not building up... (actually the same applies to any games I play, to the best of my abilities). But just look at this image update! Just boosts something on the likes of the "The Witcher" looks for me... which is a franchising I really enjoy.

Either way, if you read the latest updates here, you will find more about the newest changes about potions. These bring a completely revolutionary way play the game. Where YOU, small player, can suddenly plot a big uprising attack to the biggest bag you can find. Similar, big players will be able to strategically plan for bigger scenarios.

Damn... it has been fun lately! The multiplayer stuff really made it a step up. You can check the video below, on some sort of an attempt to show off some fun. In reality, the experience is way better.

This weekend we have been going through the weekend tournament again and its always fun (even if I got late today). @crypto-zard was helping out the fun by streaming on Twitch when I was using his stream to have a LOT of 🤣 laugh! (even without him knowing). GG mate, it was fun to have some shots and then wait for your reaction! 😂

You can check details on github if you wish. But this segways me to my next topic which is a friendly reminder to everyone, that both HIVE and HIVE-Engine have expiring votes for witnesses. That is, if you don't do any governance broadcasts, your witness votes will eventually expire after 6 months (HIVE-Engine) or 1 year (HIVE).

This is an important security feature to avoid MIA (missing in action) accounts voting when they are not in control of their keys anymore. This will also make sure people need to actively be watching and curating the security of the chain, which is why is so important for anyone to spend at least sometime every 6 months, looking for witnesses to vote (not just anyone ok? do dig into them please).

It's not a big ask if you ask me, and its for the sake of everyone's interest. Links below for fast voting on mine, but do please check others and consider security seriously. Asking questions for example, is a big start! So, happy to answer any if you have them. Thank you! 🙏

For completeness of my end, the traffic to my stuff haven't changed much in terms of users, but in terms of "usage" it did almost doubled in the last 2 months! So that might mean, more "assiduous" users?

I know I have been lacking on the plans of getting a new kit ready for better performance. Still not forgotten... but because I know what's coming, that's influencing my decision. And while the current one works... that's going to have to do. HBM memory processors are getting me crazy! 😜 and that would be fricking perfect for the current HIVE code! Plus ARM... it's getting hard to decide, but I while i can, I will wait a bit more.
