I know, I was also a bit disappointed!. Good I saw it this morning by accident while on Bittrex. I also tried the iPhone app and works great! I actually try to login using a HD pic of myself and it failed, which means that it really looks at depth, bright gestures and other deep learning enabled capabilities for facial recognition.
Hope to see this project flying asap!
