Bestie Appreciation Post - Meagan Penaux

Today's blog is all about showing my appreciation to one of my dearest soul-sister Meagan Elisabeth Penaux aka Meggie Pearl.😍

Meggie is a 23 year old aspiring artist born on 31st December 1998 in Paramaribo, Suriname. She has 3 other siblings, a brother and 2 sisters. She is the second child of her parents which makes her the oldest of 3 girls.

Meggie studied art at the Nola Hatterman Art Academy for four years and graduated in 2020. She started to to delve into portrait painting. Since then she has been working on the field for two years. 👩‍🎨Meggie is currently an All rounder in the Art field, meaning she practices different kinds of art. As far as material is concerned, in addition to painting, she's also working with mixed media on wood/canvas, cement
for sculptures such as waterfalls and statues, mixed media for decoration and ecological material for paper making. Except on canvas/wood she paints on every possible surface. 🎨

This picture of us was made on the 2nd of March 2022 at the Johan Adolf Pengel Airport in Suriname, right before she was going to board for her flight to The Netherlands along with other artists for a very special project. ✈️

In this picture you can see Meggie painting an elephant on the wall. This mural is of a children's daycare at the Verlengde Gemenelandsweg, Paramaribo. One advice she likes to share with other artists is that whenever you find the time to make more money, don't hesitate as long as you can do it. 😊

Here's a before and after picture of Meggie working on a high relief mural as a memorial and appreciation to the late Mr. Henck Arron. Henck Alphonsus Eugène Arron (25 April 1936 – 4 December 2000) was the first Prime Minister of Suriname after it gained independence in 1975.

Meggie is such a huge inspiration to me because she's always going for what she's passionate about and shows me that you can do everything you put your mind to. I'm very grateful to be #alive and have her in my life.❤️

💕Thank you for reading my blog post and I hope you enjoyed it.
