Maduro threatens the banking community

Nicolás Maduro, president of Venezuela, said Thursday, during a meeting at the Miraflores Palace, that public and private banks have 48 hours to remove the daily cash limit that users of their branches can withdraw.

"Public and private banks were given 48 hours to release the kidnapped money from the town, if you go with your checking or savings account to the ticket office inside the bank they have to give you your money, without limit (... ) We will not accept again the sale and purchase of the ticket, we will not accept that, "said the president at the meeting with his cabinet of ministers of the economic area.

Maduro said that citizens must enforce this rule to institutions.

"I do not believe the bankers have no excuse, take the ticket to the people, period, the people must enforce this norm and the institutions must respect it too." It is time to legislate on this issue and we are going to punish that in a fierce way. "he said.

This was said by deputy Jose Guerra on September 4

"The reality is that there is no cash that the Government said there was, because what we are witnessing in the queues is the pensioners who give their cash, when the Government had promised that they could get what they wanted."

"In the coming weeks, I estimate that the shortage will worsen and, moreover, the money will not be enough to buy the products of the basic basket, worse than what we live today," said the economist.

In reference to statements made yesterday by Maduro, in which he asked "why do pensioners need cash if there are now so many methods of online payment?" Guerra replied that: "There are payments that are made only in cash, like the transport payment ... Also, when you pay with cash, the products always come out a little lower ".

My point of view of the situation

The problem of cash in Venezuela continues, really with reference to what Maduro says, I do not see how a Venezuelan Bank would put its stability within the national banking system into play by initiating clandestine cash sales, I do not see any sense in this! What does a bank owner do by doing this? ok more money but also involves legal problems with the Venezuelan state and knowing how the Government of Nicolas Maduro plays no lawsuit that introduce lose the state and judicial system is biased with it.

Ok, on the other hand, will it be possible for the money to reach the banks completely? will it be that the government keeps lying to the people saying this? There are really many questions and those who know the truth of what happens are the owners of banks and the national government itself.

Meanwhile the town continues suffering in queues to get the miserable cash !.
