REUNION AFTER 25 YEARS APART

Who doesn't like a good love story!? Well, here is a rough draft of ours!

Let me go back in time, 25 years ago!

I was working in a hotel as a housekeeper, {married, unhappily married to an abuser, mentally, socially. you get the picture}! i was young, thought i had to stay married because of the vows i took! Anyways, along came this handsome, funny, loved to flirt Bradley, delivering Humpty Dumpy chips. I was no better than him for having fun, lol. We would flirt, i would sit on his knee in the staff room, that is as far as it went, with me being married and all that good stuff! Every time my friend working on the front desk would see him pulling up, she would call me to come down. she would say, "he's here"! His face would light up, mine would glow! Do our flirting, go back to my so called normal life. All of a sudden, no more Bradley, can't remember what happened! Thought about him from time to time.

Life moved on, divorce, a couple of broken relationships...

When i finally gave up on ever finding love again, living my life being single, i swore off men.
I was headed to my Dad's home town for a family get together. It was a beautiful winters day! My right wiper blade wasn't working for about three weeks, who cares, i wasn't looking out that side of the window! As i was driving, mist from the car ahead of me was building up on window, turned on the wipers. it was a no go, sprayed windshield wash, still a no go. My wipers weren't working at all! I can't drive all that way with not being able to see. I put my thinking hat on, where shall i go for new wipers? If i went to Canadian Tire, i couldn't change the wiper blades, i am too short! Lol So away i goes to Speedy Auto Glass, walked in to this handsome guy behind the desk, he had a smile that would melt any girls heart!

I walked up to him, told him what i wanted, i asked if someone could kindly put them on for me, still smiling, he said yes. He kept looking at me, smiling, then he said, "do i know you, you look familiar"? I didn't recognize him. i asked him his name, he pointed to his business card, i read it a couple of times, then it all came back to me. i asked him if he was the chip truck man from years ago, he said yes, i told him who i was, i nearly fainted. Lol. He told me i looked younger now then i did back then, a customer in the store said that was a good line! We chatted for a couple of minutes, i got the hell out of there, the memories came flooding back! He was all i could think about while i drove.

Got to the senior home where my Dad is living, took out my phone, looked him up on FB , read that his wife passed away six months ago. I knew he was grieving, but i didn't see anything wrong with reconnecting with an old friend. So i sent him a friend request. Of course he accepted! The next day my phone dinged, it was him! i got butterflies! He was asking what i was up to, we texted for a bit, he then asked what time i will be passing through tomorrow. i told him it was all according to how much wine i drank, lol, i also had to visit my Dad before i left. He wanted me to shoot him a text and drop by for a coffee. So the next day i asked him for his address and away i went, nervous as heck! I pulled up into his driveway, got nervous, put the car in reverse, just when i was about to back out, he comes out of the house. Oh shit, now i got to go in! So we went inside, got a coffee and a tea, sat and chatted for three hours! Caught up some what on life! I felt so comfortable! It was like the twenty five years between us didn't happen!

That day lead to me visiting more, longer chats, texting for hours every day! I knew instantly he was the one! My feelings were still there for him, the flame burned stronger, the butterflies were killing me, just like a teenager in love. Things headed up quickly between us, next thing i know, he was asking me to move in, then talking marriage! We got engaged, set a date, now we are planning a wedding! I couldn't even believe that we are getting married! That is the last thing i expected! I am over the moon happy! He is the best thing that ever happened to me! He is my whole world, i truly love him and can't wait to become his wife!
