Hello hive, I am Leonor Salcedo athlete dedicated to road and mountain biking. Native and resident of Maracay, Aragua state. Runner of the two modalities national champion of route category master 2023 and national sub-champion of MTB category master 2023, being the one that more I practice the MTB executing jumps and maneuvers in circuits of XCO.

As time went by, the academic necessity made us move to the city of Rubio, in order to pursue our secondary or high school studies. Luckily, our farm was only 1 hour away.

My academic career led me to study nursing at the Andes Institute of Technology, a profession that I love. Shortly after graduating, they sent a communication to the institute asking for personnel in the nursing area to work in Margarita Island, which is located in Venezuela, Nueva Esparta State.

I am 14 years old and a Grade 8 student from Guiuan Eastern Samar. I am currently studying at Immaculate Conception School.

Fun fact about me, I have a twin sister but we don't have the same birthday. My fraternal twin was born on February 23 in the morning via normal delivery while I was born on the night of February 24 via emergency caesarean section.

My life in surfing began at the age of 8 due to the influence of my family, my father José Sena is a former surfer, my brother Raí Lopes still surfs today, as does my uncle Carlos! I was always a child with a lot of energy and when I was at the beach I always tried to stay in the water and play. My parents soon gave me a bodyboard. When I saw my brother surf standing up, I was enchanted by it and I wanted to stand up on the board too and that's where it all started! My father and mother gave me my first surfboard and at the age of 9 I started competing in events held by Armando Daltro.

Hello everyone, I go by Shielamae Villamater, but you can call me Shie or Shiela. I am a teacher at Hope Mountain Foundation for children who are victim-survivors of Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children or OSAEC and children who are also sexually abused. At 32 years old, I am grateful and blessed for everything in my life. I am dedicated and genuine, though I must admit to being somewhat skeptical. Not skeptical of my spiritual beliefs, but of my physical self. Some may label it as insecurity, which is common, but I view it as a healthy dose of caution. The youngest of four siblings, I have two sisters and one brother. Thankfully, our mother is still alive and well by God's grace.

I have come to the understanding that life is a moving target. It took a lot of falling and rising to realize that everyday isn’t going to be a win but can also be a “win”. There are days where I don’t feel like getting out of bed or even doing anything at all but there are also days when I hop out of bed ready to conquer the world and its challenges [we all have those days]. But with all these mixed feelings, I’ve learnt to take control of my emotions, telling myself that I am going to be one of the few that chooses to go off the beaten path, explore the unknown and take the chances that scares everyone. Because we have been told that the world is not a place for people that try to be different, a lot of rules made not to be broken, patterns set not to be rearranged. Well, I have always known myself to be different and none of that fit into my playbook.

What to do when you like to write and interact and have free time? That's what I've been asking myself ever since, in the third year of my university career, I found myself with a lot of time available and didn't know what to spend it on. And so, after a lot of searching for a social platform in which to integrate myself as a user, and almost having given up, it came to me through a friend Hiver who told me and invited me to join, Ecency and the Hive community in general. What can I say? For me, leisure time should be spent on something productive or interesting that feeds the spirit, and creating content for Hive seemed like a very good way to interact with people with similar interests to mine, exchange opinions, interact with them. In short, another way to learn about new topics, or to expand on the ones I know, through social interaction.
