INTRO BLOG || Get To Know About Miya ☆

Greetings everyone!! This is my first time joining this platform, and I'm still figuring out how it works. Thank you for allowing me to express myself here on HIVE. It is indeed a pleasure to meet all of you.

ABOUT ME

Hello! Allow me to introduce myself. I am @miyasomi, but you can always call me Miya. I am from Hagnaya, San Remigio, Cebu. I am 16 years old, an Aquarius, and a Grade 11 student at SRNHS who loves scouting so much.

I live with my parents and have five siblings, making us a family of eight. And I am the fifth child. My mother is a housewife, and my father is a family driver. We are a family that loves dogs so much!! We owned eight dogs. My life is simple, but I am proud and content with who I am and what I have today.

Now, let’s talk about Miya. Well, I’m an academic achiever and I consider myself an introvert, but I can get loud sometimes when I’m comfortable with the people around me. I’m also quite shy, especially in public, since I’m not much of an outdoor person. When I do go out, I prefer to spend time with people I feel very comfortable with. I’m also hardworking and creative, and people often tell me I’m cute.

HOBBIES

Since we each have different hobbies and unique interests, I’d like to share mine !! (P.S: I don’t have that many hobbies since I am not a very active person)

Singing

First of all, singing is my all-time favorite hobby. I’ve been singing for as long as I can remember, starting back in elementary school, and I enjoy it. I even participated in singing contests at school, which was a wonderful experience. However, as I grew older, I lost the confidence to join competitions. Still, I sing wherever I am and wherever I go, and it helps me improve my vocals, especially since my family loves singing too. I cherish the bonding moments we have through music. Our family’s passion for music also leads to my second favorite hobby.

Listening To Music

Listening to music while feeling down will always be the best therapy for me. My favorite artist of all time is Taylor Swift, she is the best, and she is the best doctor who gives her patients (fans) the best medicines (songs)! Her songs will always be the best songs that I would listen to over and over again. I am proud to say that I’ve been a Swiftie since her debut album (Taylor Swift) was released and guess what?? My family are also swifties !!

I also love listening to OPM songs. Even though I don’t always relate to the lyrics, especially the sad ones, I still get emotional and act like I've experienced everything. I guess I get my emotional side from my mom.

Watching Anime

The first anime I ever watched was "Slam Dunk." I love this anime because it reminds me of my childhood and how amazing it was. This anime sparked my love for watching anime, and it has become one of my best forms of therapy. I especially enjoy "Attack on Titan," which is my absolute favorite. I'm forever thankful to Isayama for creating such a masterpiece! When "Aot" ended last year, I was heartbroken since I had been watching it since I was a kid. It’s truly the best anime, and I would rewatch it until my last breath! I also love watching Ghibli movies and any series or movies set in Japan (now it’s too obvious that my dream country is Japan).

WHO INTRODUCED YOU TO HIVE?

So my friend @chyxille introduced me to HIVE. At first, I was both confused and curious about the purpose of this platform and how it works. Eventually, I realized I wanted to explore new experiences in my life. Once I understood how it operates, I decided to give it a try. I thought it could help me improve my writing skills and expand my vocabulary, especially since I’m not the most outgoing or extroverted person. This platform allows me to connect with new people, which I believe will boost my confidence and help me make new friends. And I'm happy to be here and looking forward to meeting new friends!

WHAT ARE YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS?

As a beginner here, I’m eager to make a meaningful contribution to this platform. One way I plan to do this is by encouraging my friends to join and explore the opportunities to meet new people and enjoy themselves. Additionally, I’d love to help others develop a greater interest in writing.

WHAT WOULD HIVE EXPECT FROM YOU?

Since this is my first time joining this platform and I’m still developing my writing skills, I want to assure HIVE that they can expect great things from me. In my upcoming blogs, I plan to cover a wide range of topics including my personal life, a day in my life as a student, updates, advice, and much more. I’m not just aiming to meet HIVE’s expectations but also those of my readers. I do hope to become an inspiration to some of them and I’m committed to never letting their expectations down.
