1 trick to get into any conversation(The sincerity prank)

in #introduce7 years ago

Starting up a conversations can some times be a difficult task, not only for the introverts but also for the extroverts because we are mostly saddled with the challenge of finding a common ground.

The trick

Some time ago i was invited for an interview with a firm and we were about 5 applicants for that position. Each of us were given different topics to talk on, and for no reason the entire hall was filled with tension. Maybe because the panelist appeared scary or because the company was the dream of every young man fresh out of university and we were all scared to loose out the opportunity .

When it got to my turn, I looked at the panelist and said.

" I have alot to say, but for no reason i'm tensed"

They all laughed and the rest was a story.
The trick was that i needed a common ground and i found one.

Romance

I got into a public train with a lady i never knew. Things got bored and i was no longer getting comfortable with the silence. But still for no reason i felt if i try approaching her i might be rejected. So at intervals i stole glances, and when this was about becoming awkward, I said

"Hey am Tonio... I have spent the last 5mins thinking about what to say when i begin this conversation, but the truth is that i still don't know how begin". Things went really beautiful afterwards. The idea was creating a common ground and this trick works like magic.
It is similar to the "I am shy trick"

The psychology
The human mind subconsciously attracts openness mostly when they have previously been in such situation. And every 8/10 individuals have once or is still battling with the issue of starting a conversation. So this approach works fine but needs to be fashioned in your own Unique style.

Hahaha, i like your sincerity about your tension before the panel. That was a good tactic there.
