Steem is up 1000% in one week, Ethereum took 2 months to do the same!

As soon as i browsed the main page of Steem.it i was hooked. People are actually getting paid for writing blog post?

My name is Alex Fortin. I started earning money online 3 years ago. It took me time, energy and lots of frustration. I created multiple niche sites and try different things. The first few months I made nothing. I hired developers, wrote a bunch of stuff but nothing was working out.

Finally one day, one of my niche site got popular. I earn my first few dollars! I had the proof that this was real and no one could take that away from me. Pat flynn story wasn't just a far dream anymore.

I read the story of many people like me who make money online. The tipping point when they go all in is usually when they make their first dollars. They realize that this isn't just some kind of fantasy. This is real. The learning curve was steep, but that first dollars is what makes it real for so many people.

It took me almost a year to earn my first dollars online. When I got on Steem.it - it took me one day.

Creating a Steemit account, writing my first blog post and waiting 24 hours for my payout to make sure that all of this was real took me one day. One day vs one year.

When I started my first sites, I had to think of a domain name, purchase it. Find a hosting service, Install wordpress, install plugins, find a theme, create a logo, drive traffic to my site and much more.

On Steemit, you click register, find a username and a password. That's it. The barrier to entry is non-existent.

Everything you write on Steem.it get automatically feature at the top of the newly created blog post where hundreds of people look for post to upvote. You just need a few click to make your first dollars.

Someone can use the platform for multiple days without even knowing what is cryptocurrency. They don't need to know bitcoin or what is the blockchain. They just need to want to write and get paid. This is the killer-app.

At time of writting this, Steem is at 4$. It raised in value by 1000% in one week... it took 2 months for Ethereum to do the same. The next few months should be interesting.

Welcome, Alex! I've been here for less than a week myself and I'm convinced there's something special here. It's a great community so far.

Hee Alex, thanks, is it at 4$ again... omg...

I've just finished SteemStream.com - a live peek on the realtime data on Streemit (posts, upvotes, money transfer, mining, new users, comments):

Its special because you make it special.

It is very special, and it just started :)

Steemit makes you healthy rich. You can actually sleep and make money and a few friends along the way. Welcome my friend.

I agree with everything you've said. It's a little bit like Youtube and Reddit combined. Where the most interesting people and topics get rewarded like youtube, but it's fun to scroll and see what's new like reddit. I hope it stays strong :) best of wishes to you

Yes I agree. I hope it stay strong too!

I think this could be the realisation of the internet dream. Can't wait to see how it continues to grow.

Hi, Alex! I share with you the joy of this new technology. Example of return of over 1000% in a week is incredible!

Welcome to the community!

Heh. The @weng bot is starting to vote up the @wang bot comments. Bot spam is going to get interesting.

I'd say bots would be okay if they are providing some useful service and the post makes clear that it's a bot posting (disclaimer at the end that identifies the bot owner). Unfortunately wang satisfies neither criteria...

Agreed. Also, once the Mute functionality kicks in, we could all start using mute blacklists or something similar.
