Hi, I'm Luka from Slovenia - Physicist, Entrepreneur and Crypto Enthusiast!

Alright, let’s do this!

There have been a few occasions in my life, when I felt something big was happening - one of them was definitely when I first found Steemit about 2 months ago. I was hooked immediately; all the quality content, posted by the vibrant community - I just loved it! So, I decided it was time for me to start contributing to this vault of knowledge and ideas and here I am, writing my very first post.

Let me briefly introduce myself. My name is Luka and I come from a beautiful European country on the sunny side of Alps: Slovenia. I am 22 years old and am a college student.
Here is a (rather awkward) verification photo of mine:

I am studying Physics - one of my greatest passions. The reason, why I just love the subject is the fact that nature is all around us and it offers such an immense amount of interesting phenomena that it is impossible to ignore it. I believe that physics can be interesting for everyone if it is presented in the right way. I’ll try to convince you with some (hopefully) interesting posts from the field the future.

Another passion of mine is entrepreneurship. Since I was a kid, I have always found ways to make money or to sell something to somebody…Oh, how I love this game! Since I am constantly learning new things and exploring new possibilities in the field of entrepreneurship, I believe that I have something to share with the Steemit community. I am also quite into crowdfunding and have had a successful campaign on Kickstarter a couple of years ago.

I also enjoy travelling a lot - not any sort of luxurious type of all-inclusive trips but pure backpacking adventure. Because how could a college student afford that, really? :P I like Asian food A LOT - might be one of the reasons I like Asia as a continent very much...

Last but not least, I love and the blockchain technology. I have been present in the community since 2014, when I entered the field as a miner. It was a very naive, yet extremely rewarding (not financially though) journey, which has taught me a lot. Being a very techy and quantitative guy, I have grown increasingly interested in the details about cryptocurrencies and the underlying mechanisms that make them tick. Absorbing knowledge like a sponge, day after day - and I LOVE it!

So this was a bit about me and my background - way too long for an introductory post ;). I really look forward to this journey of ours on Steemit. I have never written a real post blog before and I must say that it feels just amazing! This is going to be awesome.

P.S.: I was thinking about filming the posts instead of just writing. It's a pity that Steemit does not support uploading videos yet.. What do you think about that? :)

Welcome!

Thank you!

Welcome. Best wishes to you! Good introduction! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks! I am still getting used to the platform and the concept, but it feels great to finally start blogging.

hi @chem1cal welcome to steemit

Thank you!

Welcome to Steemit. I WISH I would have gotten into crypto in 2014. I actually learned about Bitcoin sometime in there, but shrugged it off for a couple years. BTW some people do most of their posts as videos, i.e. @dan-atstarlite.

Thanks! As I see it, people prefer watching videos to reading, that's why I might start doing them instead. Thank you for pointing out an example, I'll look into it.

Hi Luka. Welcome to Steemit. Stephen

Thank you, Stephen!

Welcome to Steemit! That's interesting, which Kickstarter campaign have you pulled of?

Thanks! It was actually the first Pocket Watch campaign on the platform: http://kck.st/1ldc1B4. It was an incredible experience, since we did the campaign with basically no prior knowledge about crowdfunding... but we have learned so much! :)

Nice! It must've been. Now with ICOs and all maybe you'd want to look into stuff like https://cofound.it

I've heard about it and it certainly looks promising. And the founders are Slovenian - the same guys that started Iconomi, I believe.

Welcome to Steemit @chem1cal! Enjoy and explore :)

Thank you, looking forward to it!

Thanks for reaching out to me, I have Slovenian blood on my German side of the family and when I was living in Switzerland I knew some pretty attractive Slovenian women active in the gothic scene. I love backpacking too!

Hey Luka, good to meet you on this platform. Keep up the good work.
