Day 1 with Elle!

Hello! You may be wondering who I am, and what I'm doing here. Well, let me tell you—I'm Ghenelle and I live from the Philippines. A student by day and a self-proclaimed writer and gamer by night.

First things first: my name is pronounced "Gheh-nell," but everyone calls me Genel because they think that's how it's spelled. It's not; it's actually spelled with an "h." But like most people who have been called by the wrong name their entire life, I just shrug and go with it because it's easier than correcting people all the time.

I'm a pretty simple person. I like to stay home, get cozy on the couch, and binge-watch Netflix all day long. My hobbies include reading, playing video games, listening to music, going out with my friends, writing blog posts like this one!

I write about everything from the latest headlines to my favorite shows and movies—and everything in between. I read about anything that catches my eye, and I love sharing what I learn with you!

It is quite funny how many people think writing is easy because they think it's just putting down words on paper or spinning out stories from thin air. But there's so much more to it than that! Writing is hard work—it takes time and effort and persistence. You have to be willing to work through the bad stuff if you want something good at the end of your journey.

So why am I writing this blog? Well, because maybe there's someone out there who feels the same way about these things as me—or maybe there's someone out there who hasn't even thought about them before. And maybe by reading this, they'll think of something new that they can do when they feel lonely, or anxious, or bored. I know we feel all of these things sometimes. So maybe it'll help them feel like they're not alone anymore! My dream is to inspire you to be your best self by helping you look past the surface of life and see all the amazing things going on in the world around us.
