Good evening from Ghana, my name is Paul Gyesi, a newcomer that just arrived on the scene. I was invited by a friend @madaug and I haven't been able to make my first blog since I created the account due to a few things I had to take care of and being sincere, I had forgotten he helped me create my account until somewhere around 4pm when he texted me on Whatsapp asking if I've made a post on the platform.
Well he was able to convince me that this is a very good platform. I am not the social media type. I enjoy watching videos mostly on TikTok and one time, I was persuaded by my girlfriend to create an Instagram account which I didn't do anything on. Not that I don't have anything to do but wasn't too interested in creating an online social presence at the time. Especially when I heard about how some of the Social platforms can use the data without permission and there could be privacy issues.
I remember Mr Mark Zuckerberg standing trial and CEO of TikTok also standing trial. Well both very different issues but still, that was one of the biggest reasons why I only preferred to watch stuff than to post my own stuff.
Also I'm the typical guy who rarely uses his phone camera for taking pictures. I'm not shy though, just haven't gotten over the awkwardness of people staring at you when you're taking a video of yourself. I could take a video of anything but of myself, it's not that often.
So for Charles to convince me and for me to move in this path is something of a resolution for this year. He said Decentralization is a very different game and I need not worry about all the things I worried about with the popular social platforms. That made it more reassuring and I've been able to come up with an intro.
I was actually going to write on something else but he advised I start with an intro post to get welcomed to the community.
