This is our introduction post.
We are happy to be a part of the STEEM community.
Mannacurrency is a cryptocurrency that was created to be given to anyone as a basic income. Our vision is a world without poverty. The present monetary system makes it impossible for people to get out of the poverty cycles that they find themselves in. Generational poverty is a tragic problem throughout the world.
Manna was originally named Grantcoin. For a little over a year, 3,000 people took part in our trial of income distribution. Over that time, we were able to verify the feasibility of such an idea along with some problem areas that needed to be ironed out.
This trial ended in August 2017. For the next 4 months, our systems were upgraded and redesigned to be automated while enabling us to scale up. We opened up the sign up process in December with the verification process implemented in February.
On March 1st, we had our first distribution under the Manna banner. There were over 10,000 people who received tokens on that date. Since that time, we have grown to over 40,000 verified users who are getting payment each week. Tomorrow, April 12th, will be our 6 distribution. Each payout is weekly.
We seek to reduce, if not eliminate, global poverty. While many are supporters of basic income, a challenge develops of how to pay for it. Governments are already operating in a deficit and the populous is taxed to the hilt. Therefore, going through those entities, if even possible, would take years. Plus, we are not sure dependence upon governmental entities is a good thing for people. To many things can change which would end up harming them.
Our belief is a cryptocurrency designed to serve as a basic income is the ideal solution. It avoids any conflict or debate about how to pay for the basic income. At the same time, it removes any central governmental organization having control over the currency.
This is why we believe we are "The People's Currency".

By the way, signing up even if you do not need the money is of great help. As all involved in cryptocurrency know, there is a network effect that takes place by having more wallets out there. We also believe in giving to others and will have entities where you can donate your tokens if you so desire. Any not-for-profit cause will be eligible to be listed on our platform when that is implemented.

We are working on getting on other exchanges. It is too early to tell if we are going to be on @blocktrades but the realization that we need more ways for people to convert to and from Manna exists. It is crucial that people be able to move in and out of the currency.
A great part of that happening is the popularity of the currency. With a little over 40,000 wallets being used, the desire for exchanges to jump all over Manna is minimal. We envision that desire growing as we have more people signing up and receiving the currency.

The best approach is to use the referral link. That was designed to provide incentive to both you and those referred. Anyone signing up using the link put you in the bonus pool for a year meaning you earn extra Manna over that time. The other advantage is the one who signs up gets more Manna for using your code.
It is a win-win.

Be sure to use your referral code to get your friends and family involved. Each of them deserves to get Manna on a weekly basis also.
The referral program entitles you to get more Manna by being in the bonus pool. Each direct referral gets you extra Manna for the period of one year while that person will get 50% more Manna over the same time.

Unfortunately I am still not accepted to your platform and have missed all the UBI weekly payouts thus far. This while I have referred people and my dashboard say they do (!) get accepted. Also while I’ve been one of the first to apply and have sent multiple e-mails.
I’m hoping I can finally enjoy Manna myself soon and will stay up to date through here.

It is good you finally made it on here. You are right, STEEM has a lot to offer.
To support the STEEM ecosystem, I suggest a few different applications. There is D.Tube where you can post your videos in addition to Youtube. I would also suggest using the Busy.org interface at times. There is a twitter like app called Zappl which is nice to send out quick message. We have a new reddit like app called parley.io.
If you need to do some live broadcasts, there is Dlive. We also have dsound for your audio productions.
Essentially, there is a wide array of social media apps to fulfill all your needs under one roof. As this platform grows, you will see even more development and users. It is growing at a terrific pace.

Welcome here! I already registered about 3-4 weeks ago. I gave my referral link to several people, from 2 I am 100% sure the signed up and confirmed everything, but no ref info in my dashboard to be seen. Why offer this option, is it doesn't work? I know many people are letting new people know about mannabase, and I wonder if this ref thing is a problem with everyone?

I have a problem with my Manna account. Maybe you'll be able to help me :) I have an account (I think it's verified) but when I try to login, it shows an Error 500 (see screenshot). I checked my emails and I have nothing other than the newsletter. And apparently I have an account because when I try to sign up, it says that my email address is already taken. Is it a recurrent problem? Do you know what I have to do?
