Introducing Myself

Hello everyone!
My name is Miguel Angel. I´m 48 years old. I’m an educator. I was born in Barquisimeto, state of Lara, Venezuela.

I have been married for almost 12 years. My wife is an educator too, we have a daughter who is three and a half years old. We are a Christian family.

As a professor of the Universidad Centroccidental Lisandro Alvarado, UCLA, among other academic responsibilities, I teach, as a tool for education, Venezuelan stick fighting as one of the activities of the subject Self-development, which belongs to the Medicine and Nursing programs in the Faculty of Health Science.

I used to play basketball and run short marathons once in a while. Some day, I would like to do that again. I’m also a former practitioner of Judo, Aikido and Jiu Jitsu.

So what content can you expect to see here? Venezuelan stick fighting, culture, martial arts. Education, values, Christian life. For instance, I have published some articles about Venezuelan Stick fighting. In that sense, I hope to talk about what I have written.

() On the other hand, as many people know, in Venezuela, there are economical, social, political and moral difficulties to be overcome. Without bypassing that reality, I hope to talk about the bright side of my country. I`ll do my best.
