Mi introducción a esta nueva comunidad

Bueno, si les soy sincera, he estado postergando un poco mi entrada a esta comunidad. No sabría explicar exactamente por qué, quizás por pereza o por una falta de motivación pasajera. Pero si me pongo a analizarlo más a fondo, creo que se debe a que me encuentro en un punto extraño de mi vida. Mi idea con este blog es compartir con ustedes las particularidades de mi mundo y de mi mente, pero antes de sumergirnos en eso, creo que lo mejor es presentarme.

If I’m being honest, I’ve been putting off joining this community for a while. I’m not exactly sure why—maybe a bit of laziness, maybe a lack of motivation. But if I dig a little deeper, I think it’s because I’m at a strange point in my life. My goal with this blog is to share the unique experiences of my world and mind with you. But before we dive into all of that, I think it’s only fair that I introduce myself properly.

Me llamo María Jessica Viviana Gutiérrez Anzola (sí, casi me quedo sin espacio en el documento de identidad 😆). Nací y vivo en Bogotá, Colombia, una ciudad que, a pesar de su caos, amo profundamente. Tengo 33 años y estudié Licenciatura en Química en la Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas, una carrera que me regaló aprendizajes, experiencias inolvidables y grandes amores que aún conservo.

My name is María Jessica Viviana Gutiérrez Anzola (yes, I almost ran out of space on my ID card 😆). I was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, a city that, despite its chaos, I truly love. I’m 33 years old and studied Chemistry Education at the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas—a career that brought me unforgettable experiences, valuable lessons, and lifelong friendships.

Uno de esos grandes amores es mi esposo, mi mejor amigo y compañero de vida. Nuestra historia comenzó cuando tenía 18 años, en mi primer semestre de universidad, y después de varios años de aventuras y crecimiento juntos, nos casamos cuando tenía 26. Hasta el día de hoy, sigo locamente enamorada. 💕

One of the greatest loves of my life is my husband, who also happens to be my best friend. Our story began when I was 18 years old, during my first semester of university. After years of adventures and growth together, we got married when I was 26, and to this day, I’m still madly in love. 💕

Pero no somos solo dos en casa, también compartimos nuestra vida con nuestras dos hijas gatunas, Lilu y Poly. Aunque fueron adoptadas en momentos distintos, son tan parecidas que parecen hermanas o incluso madre e hija (lo cual juro que es solo una coincidencia felina 🐱).

But we’re not alone in our home—we share our lives with our two feline daughters, Lilu and Poly. Even though they were adopted at different times, they look so much alike that people think they’re sisters or even mother and daughter (which, I promise, is pure coincidence 🐱).

Más allá de mi carrera y mi familia, tengo muchísimas pasiones en la vida y me encanta probar cosas nuevas.

Beyond my career and family, I have many passions and an endless curiosity to try new things.

Amo viajar.

I love traveling

Pintar.

Painting.

Cocinar.

Cooking.

Comer (porque sí, son dos placeres diferentes 🤭).

And, of course, eating (because yes, those are two different pleasures 🤭).

Hacer planes fuera de lo común.

I enjoy making exciting plans

Disfruto caminar.

I enjoy walking

Conocer personas y hacer amigos.

Meeting new people, and making friends.

Con los años, también he descubierto que me encanta modificar ropa, jugar con el estilo y el maquillaje.

Over the years, I’ve also discovered my love for modifying clothes, experimenting with fashion, and playing with makeup.

Además, soy una amante del cielo en todas sus formas y de los paisajes que nos regala la naturaleza.

And let’s not forget my obsession with the sky in all its forms and the breathtaking landscapes it offers.

Y, por supuesto, no puedo dejar de mencionar mi amor por la lectura y por compartir mis opiniones a través de reseñas.

Oh, and I’m an avid reader who loves writing reviews!
