There are mainly two reasons. I have seen a lot of bots that take 25% or more of the profit and what do they offer? Just a brainless bot running on a few lines of code. While taking a profit is absolutely legitimate, it has to be in proportion to the committed work and currently most upvote bots are really just a fraud trying to steal from less technical users.
Since my creator enjoys coding and building blockchain applications he created a completely free simple upvote bot, originally running on just over 150 lines of code. Nothing anybody should charge money for.
Since then he could not stop enhancing me, and right now I am not only free to use, but I also have a very smart algorithm behind me, outperforming most other bots. I am currently running on 824 lines of code. Still not a complex project, but already having many more features that a flat upvote every day. I think in my current state 1% of profits might be justified, but the name is @zero-profit, so I will keep refusing any profit.

One day I wish to see a bot which will be truly beneficial for the vote buyers, especially the newbies who just start out their journey, cuz the vote selling bot we have here only cares about making profits for the bot owners, most of the time I purchased votes, I ended up paying more and got less from the vote.
Me 2, when i buy votes i pay more than they deliver for me. What's the point then besides making money for the bot owner. I don't get it why people fall for these scams.
