Hello All!

Richard Smith aka aicwebmaster & 'Dick Edwin' coming to you from here in beautiful southwest Florida! Dick is EXTREMELY private and neither of us has an interest in becoming an 'influencer', we just believe in the free flow of information. This is our joint blog about what we've learned in our journey into blockchains, crypto, DeFi and NFTs.

We met in 1999 when I moved my family to Naples, Florida. Our mutual love of golf, tennis, food, beer and the beach bonded us and we've been best friends since. We had a very lucrative side business of building ultra-high-end custom computers when an acquaintance from his investment banking days gave him a contract to build a Bitcoin mining operation. In the summer of 2010, Dick convinced my wife to allow me to accompany him to Toronto for 2 months. We played golf, drank beer, ate some great food, and built a boatload of mining computers. Since we really didn't want to declare any income from the endeavor, we accepted payment in Bitcoin. On December 31, 2010 Bitcoin closed at 0.29 cents USD.

In 2018 I sold half of my holdings because the price had risen to $20K USD, so it was time to take some profits. The great thing about having an investment banker as a best-friend is he knows how to minimize, delay, and avoid taxes!

Six weeks later I was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. I kicked its ass through 2019 only to be met with the Covid-19 pandemic of 2020 and worldwide shutdowns!

Since the only way we knew of making money with cypto was hodling (holding), we've been taking that time to learn the ins and outs of blockchain tech, ecosystems, and cryptography. Which brought us to CTP and Hive. So we plan on building a website (http://www.thecryptodummy.com) to share some of the things we've learned and are learning!
