Telling story: Get to know more about Jelay.

Hello there! I'm a newbie here and I'm excited to join! I'm someone who loves exploring new ideas, learning from everyday experiences, and sharing my thoughts with others, whether it's personal growth, my hobbies, or things that inspire me. So let's go and get ready to know more about me.

So I'm Angela D. Gaan. D stands for DAATON, just so you know, and I guess my last initial wasn't familiar to all of you because this came from my father's side, which is from Mindanao. You can call me jelay. But anyway, I am a very talkative person, kind, a girl who loves to talk, a funny girl with lots of jokes that come out of my mouth every time I am comfortable enough with those I am with. And for you to know, I am a singer and a not-so-dancer, but I love to dance anyway.

I have been a Glee Club member since I was in Grade 7 until now (grade 12) and I'm so proud of it, I am joining a singing contest in any sitio or barangay, and I am also joining a beauty pageant coz I know I am very confident when it comes to public speaking and whatsoever and I love boosting my confidence in my own. And I do believe that in our lives we cannot succeed if we do not fail, so for me, failure is a way to succeed, but I'm not saying that I'm a successful woman already, hehe.

Get to know more about ME!

I am the third daughter among nine siblings, including our younger sister, who passed away. In this picture, you can only see the 7 children with my parents because our older sister went to Manila to work. That chubby boy is my niece, he's one of the children of our older sister, and he doesn't have a father.

Moreover, I am the only one who almost passed senior High school because our older sister got pregnant when she was in grade 10, and our second older sister stopped her studies when she graduated in grade 10. She didn't proceed to senior high (grade11). And for me as a not so last card of my family I need to hands-on, to cover up what they're didn't do when they were still studying, I'm very industrious in everything, a competitive when it comes to grades, and I'm received a lot of certificates, and medals including the awards that I've received in any contest.

I am a working student in Ma'am @naymhapz's house, which is one of the members here in Hive. She helped with my school fees as she promised to me, and without her, I couldn't proceed to Senior High School. Now, just because of her, I'm almost graduating from an integrated school.

HOBBIES

Dog Lover

My hobby is playing with my doggies especially my favorite dog, not just a dog but she is one of my very best friends, this is chin² She is the kindest dog ever, she's patiently waiting until her food is served but sad to say she doesn't eat only rice she want yummy food in her plate. Chin² follows me every morning when I go to school; she won't go back home if I can't find a motorcycle; she's a very cute dog!

The saddest thing about dogs is that we can't control them, especially where they want to go. My chin² caused her death; she was hit by the motorcycle. I was so sad at that time, knowing I lost my favorite dog; I came to school with tears in my eyes. But now I'm super glad that I got my new dog. I named her bing². I just found her just today. She's also a smart dog like chin², I love her already.

I've shared my intro blog about myself, and now let's explore more.

Writing:

As students, our first duty is to copy all the discussions that we talked about; we need to sacrifice our hands so that we can answer and study the whole lesson. Everybody, it's a lot, but for me, it's so nice and peaceful when you are writing. And I also love reading books, magazines, newspapers, and whatever, especially if it's English. I know I'm not really good at it, but I'm trying( trying hard). Moreover, I am a student who loves designing my output/projects because designing your output can make it more attractive to the teacher and also to your classmates.

Singing

As you can remember, I'm a singer; I sing when I'm alone, hurt, and sad because singing when you are broken-hearted is a way you express your feelings without judging. For me, singing is one of the best ways I can temporarily forget my problems in life. Singing can make you're life as beautiful as you are, beautiful as I am, so that's the reason why I love to sing; singing is also my habit that no one can stop. Anyways, I was elected as the new president of the glee club in our school on September 13, 2024-2025.

My contributions to Hive

My main reason for joining Hive is to enhance my writing skills and to share my thoughts, ideas, and feelings; I also want to interact with other people who are experts in English writing. I want to know more about English, especially the new words.

In closing, I would like to acknowledge and extend my thanks to Ma'am @jobeliever, who onboarded me when I came to the library because I wanted to join Hive. I would like to thank her for helping me to join. Thank you for letting me try to write up my thoughts here. I am truly blessed and grateful for entertaining me when I was in a hurry to tell my excitement. I will take this as an inspiration to strive more and to continue to grow as a blogger.

PS. I made this in the Middle of school year, I guess that was the second quarter of the first sem, but since ma'am, Jobelle is so busy preparing the needs for students, this draft was stuck, and I just waited until ma'am Jobelle had her free time to onboard me. And now she finally made it. Thank you again, ma'am Jobelle.
