Who Am I

I am Hadiya Usman a young woman with a passion for philanthropy, especially advocacy to promote gender equality, religious tolerance and women empowerment. In line with my interest, I volunteer in various humanitarian and rights groups in the struggle to build a more egalitarian and peaceful society in the North-East region of Nigeria.I work as a member of a team (Gombeyouth4gg) that creates awareness on the need for sustainable development and an all encompassing socio-economic inclusion of women as well as bridging the gender gap in our society. We also advocate for dialogue and understanding between the adherents of various religious groups, consequently promoting harmonious and peaceful co-existence in North-East regionbof Nigeria.
I believe each person’s right to choose their religious beliefs, and affirm that no one has the right to force religious, spiritual or philosophical beliefs upon any other person, either by physical force, or by any other means, such as social, economic, psychological, or political coercion. The right to free expression of worship, or the lack thereof, is an individual right, so long as such free expression does not hinder the mutual freedom of others.
