Who is Sunshine?
Hello everyone! A pleasant day dear Hives! It's with great pleasure that I am part of the hive community which I was too scared of because I am not really into writing but pursuing my interest until I meet this amazing platform, before you dive into my intro blog allow me to simply introduce myself first. My name is @shymmering Umpad, but most people call me (San San). Sometimes, when they heard my name, they started singing the song "You Are My Sunshine" by Cristina Perri. (It sounds funny right, but I got used to it anyway).

However, there's a fascinating backstory behind that lovely name. You see, they didn't expect me to exist because they thought my sister Lea was their last child, but they couldn't resist what God gave them.Well however, Sunshine Cruz is constantly on my mother's mind when I'm in her womb.

I am the youngest of ten siblings, and I have heard that being the youngest means you get to have whatever you want. Everything will come to you. But from my vantage point, it certainly is, and regrettably, I only ever experienced it when I was child. Now that I am eighteen, I understand that life is a rollercoaster, where happiness and misery are experienced, and that all it takes to live is strength in all facets of life. But so much for that, I still consider myself extremely fortunate to be the youngest of 10 siblings in a complete and blessed family.

Due to the strong religious beliefs of my parents, we have adopted their rituals and enjoyed serving our all-powerful creator as a means of showing thanks and atoning for my sins, so ever since I was a young child, I have led the rosary every night. In addition, the mere fact that I have been a youth servant for five years and counting makes me tremendously grateful. I have served as a young lector in our church for the past three years and still counting, as well as a councilor from SK (Sangguniang Kabataan) in my cherished barangay. God has truly blessed me with friends at school, in our barangay, and even in our church. A big, loving family and a friends who is always there for me, which has become such a wonderful reason that I am not alone. They used to love me so much that they would give me anything I wanted, which used to spoil me. They have done everything they can to offer me the finest start to a wonderful future thus far. I wasn't sure what my life would be like without them. Without their humble direction and undying support, I would be nothing. I realized that I didn't want them to lose in my life, simply thus they meant so much to me.

So, if you're wondering how I look like, I have a chubby face,enormous cheeks with cutest dimple that everyone desires, large brown eyes, a narrower brow, and a nose that doesn't look very good. I am just a girl who wishes I had a perfect nose and perfect face, but I came to realize and understand that as long as I can breathe, and smile genuinely everything will be fine. Moving on, I am a short person and have long brown hair. Yes, even though I am stepping into college, which is strange because I am smaller than others, I discovered myself to be as beautiful as I am and was born to slay in any public places.

On the other hand, I recently graduated from senior high school last May 30, 2024 with flying colors and currently an incoming first-year college student pursuing a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English (BSed-English) in Cebu Roosevelt Memorial College (Crmc).I was a consistent honor student since elementary until senior high school somehow making my parents proud of my accomplishments was my biggest achievement in life. Hence, I enjoyed engaging in different extracurricular activities, but the most unforgettable highlight of any contest I used to partake was my journey in journalism (Sport Writing specifically), which I did not expect to win many more times and get the opportunity to compete in regional schools press conference. Even if I didn't win in (Rspc), I was so lucky that I got to experience being acknowledged by my school. Thus, being engaged in various activities made me enhance my credibility and confidence to myself.

I do appreciate the beauty of sunflowers and gumamela because their color somehow alike to my favorite color which you will know later. I enjoy traveling to different parts of the world specially different churches because I want to explore, discover and appreciate the natural beauty of every places I go. Making more memories together with my friends and family in every adventure we step into. On the other hand I am captivated by the beauty of nature, especially sunsets, because I do believe that their beauty helps me reduce stress, giving peace of mind and made me feel that every bad happening has a good and beautiful ending. Yet, I was so lucky to my friends because whenever they encountered sunset they will take picture and send it to me because they knew how I'm obsessed with it. And to tell you honestly the reason why I do love sunset its because there is someone special once told me that I have to adore the beauty of nature since God gave it to us, and all we can do is appreciate and love it in the same way that our almighty God loves us. Moving forward, pink and yellow are my favorite colors, and they can be seen in a lot of the material things in my room. I enjoy reading Wattpad stories, novels, and other types of content, as well as watching random movies (Romcom,action movie,k-dramatic,c-drama,Netflix etc.).When I was bored, I used to sing and dance to ease my loneliness. Somehow, badminton and table tennis are my sports which I do believe it help me relieve stress.

I am grateful and blessed by these two wonderful and generous individuals,@iamcheerfellll for introducing and encouraging me to join the hive orientation led by @callmesmile, and for considering that I am driven to boost and enhance my knowledge through writing. They are the ones who help me exposed to the new opportunity to be an integral part of the hive community, which I am thrilled to be part of. I'm eager to join because I find inspiration in all the people they mentioned—those who struggle with writing conviction but instead seek support and go on to thrive as good bloggers after meeting the hive platforms. So I am excited to read all the inspiring blogs, meet new friends, and share my leisure in life as my new stepping stones. To conclude,I am confident that I have made lots of contributions here in this community. Thus, I am willing and capable of overcoming hurdles,willing to learn new things, and evolving myself through blogging. I am pleased to have this adventure commenced and look forward to the more diverse prospects that await me in this new journey.
