The Awkward Part; Introductions

Here’s the thing, first times are sworn to be weird, awkward things. No crime, and certainly no shame in that. In the leadup to this introduction, I was advised to keep things within sensible boundaries, but that’s relative, as there’s no public arbiter to what sensible should entail. So here goes…
*I consider myself an extraordinary content creator; inflated cranium, and everything such a statement suggests. 8 years in on this self-aggrandizement, and I’ve managed to put out some of the most breathtaking, blush worthy, virtue bereft, and sometimes downright embarrassing articles, short posts, videos, skits, threads, photographs, name it. Main platforms? My waste basket and recycle bin. High standards? Authority? Pompous titles? I shit spectacularly on every vain bit of them with the most fancifully delivered satirical presentations. Limits? Boundaries? What on god’s earth is that myth even? Point is, I apply a zero-holds-barred approach to existence and human associations in general. Why? Excitement, plain and simple. An ardent devotion to a ‘moderately’ hedonistic living **(Special emphasis on ‘moderately’. I haven’t crossed over to the animal side, ‘yet’ - special emphasis on ‘yet’, as it’s entirely on the future cards).
I first heard about the Hive network a couple months back from my buddy @pappyelblanco, while we were shooting the shit on possible sources of side income. He told a tale of a certain colleague, who was making bank on a certain odd but interesting platform by putting out posts on a regular basis. Being accustomed to fiverr, I drew parallels and assumed he simply sold his services as a writer. Fair, but not entirely lucrative, I thought. I prefer things that scale without paralyzing effort, and having to earn per article didn’t sound particularly enthusiasm worthy. Pass. A few months and an unhealthy number of greed induced rug pull events later, it’s December. I’ve reached snapping point working the grand aunt of all shitty jobs the UAE has to offer, and my sensibilities are alight with a new hunger for sustainable side income. Enters @pappyelblanco, now somewhat established in Hiveology, and preaching benefits. With my shitty grand aunt job, who the hell am I, and what on earth is the word ‘no’ supposed to mean?
So here I am, a newly minted hive believer; who in the interest of honest disclosure, is here entirely for the money. Much like the rest of you of course, except you’re too embarrassed to admit it for what it is. Sure, community building, networking, sticking it to the web2 guys, decentralization, all of those are fun perks on this journey. But the end is the end – content monetization. That’s the goal, that’s why I’ll write this lengthy, probably tasteless and blush eliciting (for those with all the good manners) post. That’s why I’ll engage the living fuck out of your posts, infiltrate your communities, and make your cheeks red again. That’s why I’ll post the gory account of my days (yup!), experiences, boredom or genius induced musings, biased opinions (I’ve got truckloads of those), and presumably sensible observations and hot takes on things that tickle. You’ll get an eyeful of content that interests me, and hopefully you, ranging from photography, articles, fiction, poetry, videos (not skits, don’t be silly), and downright shocking opinions posts. I intend to enjoy the ride; I hope you do too.
I am Nigerian. I reside in the United Arab Emirates. My name is Rudolf, you’ll call me WVOLF.

*I’m not that obnoxious, relax.
**Abominable formatting, I know. Bite me!

The man, the myth, the @wvolf. It's glad to have you in the building with your many eccentricities.

I just hope you have fun while chasing this paper. Enjoy the ride and engage with the amazing money earning communities on the Hive. I am certain you'll be better off from it.

This is my entry for the @comet.ranker operation #ping contest

@wil.metcalfe, @wvolf finally agreed to write an introductory post.

Certainly, bro. I intend to have fun every step of the way. The journey exists to be enjoyed

Welcome to hive, in my opinion this is way better than the other platform. What i mean is like Facebook, you're not be able to earn if you're not that famous or well known social media influencer or a youtuber. Me as a new to this so glad that we're be able to earn by doing blog without having a millions or thousands of followers.

Don't feel awkward about your introduction.
I'm too tired of explaining myself to others and begging them. It is what it is.

Thanks for the advice. Glad we're getting the chance to explore, and possibly enjoy the process
