Really Pay Close Attention Using Ionomy For Transfers. It Can Cost You A Lot.

in #ionomy4 years ago (edited)

This morning I went to transfer 550 Hive from Ionomy to my account. Somehow I made a mistake and sold it for BTC. I realized I made a mistake and from the looks of it, that mistake cost me 250 Hive. I only had 300 Hive to transfer after I went and got it back to Hive to then transfer.

I tell you this to let you know to be careful because the transfer fee from Hive to BTC is really high and then back to Hive to put in my account on Hive cost me dearly.

It was my mistake and I will take responsibility for that mistake. Just do not let it happen to you, pay attention to what you are doing. That little mistake cost me 250 Hive or around $240.00 dollars, I believe with the price of Hive right now.

It seems many people are using Ionomy to transfer Steem to BTC and then into Hive. From the looks of it, Ionomy is making out like a bandit with all of the transfers going on, from Steem to BTC, then to Hive! I guess you would call it the cost of doing business. Please learn from my mistake and pay attention before you click a button. Have a great day/night, whatever it is in your neck of the woods!

I'm using blocktrades to convert my powered down steem to HIVE.

I need to look into that and use blocktrades instead!

Yea, they started the STEEM conversion back up around a week ago. So get it done while you can.

I hear you it can be a bit confusing. My strategy is to convert steem to btc then wait a bit until hive drops to get more.

Yeah, that is what I do most of the time but I wanted to power up to give bigger upvotes.
