* Muharram Month Priorities *

عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه, قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: «أفضل الصيام بعد رمضان: شهر الله المحرم, وأفضل الصلاة بعد الفريضة: صلاة الليل» رواه مسلم.

From Abu Hurairah radhiyallahu anhu, he said: "The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said:" Most fasting after the month of Ramadhan is in the blessed month of Allah-Muharram - and the main prayer after the obligatory prayer is shaliatullail-the sunnah prayer at night - "(Muslim History)

Lessons found in the hadith:

1- * Most important of fasting after the fasting month of Muharram during the first prayer of fardhu shalat night prayers. *
2- * Imam An Nawawi said: This hadith shows that Muharram is the most noble month to perform fasting sunnah. * (Sahih Muslim, 8/55)
3- Ibnul Qoyim explains that fasting related to the day of Ashura has three levels:
a. The most perfect level, * three days fast. The day before Ashura, the day of Ashura, and the day after. *
b. * Second level, fasting on 9th and 10th Muharram * This is based on many hadiths.
c. Third level, fasting * 10th only. *

The hadith theme related to the Quran:

• • Months glorified by Allah Subhana wa Ta'ala there are four of them months of Muharram, recommended for many good deeds and leave sacredness. *

إن عدة الشهور عند الله اثنا عشر شهرا في كتاب الله يوم خلق السماوات والأرض منها أربعة حرم ذلك الدين القيم فلا تظلموا فيهن أنفسكم وقاتلوا المشركين كافة كما يقاتلونكم كافة واعلموا أن الله مع المتقين

The number of months with Allah is twelve months, in the decree of Allah, when He created the heavens and the earth, among them four months of illicit. That is the religion of the Righteous, so do not persecute yourselves in the four months and fight the idolaters as they fight you all; and know that Allah is with those who guard (against evil). (QS. At Taubah: 36).
