The two million suffering people of the Gaza Strip need only wait an eternity.

Gaza City, September 2 - The militant terrorist group that still controls much of the population in this Mediterranean territory again sought to assuage the people it ostensibly governs that the tens of thousands of deceased Palestinians, plus the untold pain of injury, loss, and displacement taking place there now, will pay off eventually when the glorious future of Muslim elimination of Israel and the establishment of a new Caliphate gets no closer at any point, and in fact becomes impossible when Israel wins.
Hamas spokesman Abu Obeida issued assurances today, for the hundred-seventieth time, that the two million suffering people of the Gaza Strip need only wait an eternity until the bliss and thrill of total Islamic domination of the infidel comes to fruition, and the heroes of Islam rid the region of the Jewish scourge.
"We ask only a little more patience," he pleaded. "Your understanding and devotion to the righteous cause of the True Faith and its supremacy over all others sustain this war, this cause. The sacrifices you have made, and will continue to make, pave the way to the paradise on Earth that, thanks to your wise leaders and their allies across the Islamic world, will never happen."
Some analysts maintain that the very impossibility of victory gives Hamas and its supporters their staying power. "You can't keep justifying the suffering and oppression you impose if the pretext for the suffering and oppression goes away," explained Iranian commentator Rijjin Alpraksi. "Touting a cause that shows promise of fulfillment one day, certainly in the near future, deprives the stewards of that cause of the tools of power it needs to control the population and to explain why the abuse, corruption, and wanton violence are just critical, absolutely necessary, until such time as the Vision is fulfilled. If you come close to fulfilling the vision, you give people an opening to think the leadership will stop oppressing them. We can't have that. Not in Gaza and not in Iran."
"For a religious and political system that these people supposedly living and espouse," he remarked, "you'd think they'd realize by now that the 'submission' to which the word 'Islam' refers has little to do with submitting to Allah, though that is a helpful talking point. The real submission in Islam involves the powerless submitting to the powerful who claim to speak and act on behalf of Allah. In that sense it's no different from all the pagan cults that Islam purports to replace."
