The Famous Bit

There was a hearing in congress this week entitled "UNIVERSITY PRESIDENTS TESTIFY ON COLLEGE CAMPUS ANTISEMITISM". One specific clip went viral where the Presidents of Harvard, MIT and UPenn couldn't figure out that calling for the genocide of Jews should be disallowed on their campuses if they persist in having hate speech rules which protect other minorities.

If you didn't see that, jump to the section below.

A Better Question

However I listened to the full hearing, and I believe there was a more important question which was missed. The Democrat Congresswoman Kathy Manning.

This is the best question and the worst answer from the hearing on Jew hatred at Harvard, MIT and the University of Pennsylvania. She fundamentally challenges the President of Harvard over the teaching of Jew hatred at her school, rather than the behaviour of students.

Here's her question and answer.

Teaching is the cause

This is more important than gotchas about student behaviour because this challenges Harvard over their teaching of the Big Lie (as Hitler might have called it): Israel is a "Settler Colonial State" (I'm sure they add racist & apartheid too).

The Big Lie: "Israel is a settler colonial apartheid state"

This Big Lie is at the HEART of teaching at Harvard and across all the far-left dominated universities and schools. The teaching leads directly to Jew hatred amongst the students.

The chants and protests of students are a symptom of the disease at the President's university, the teaching is the cause.

Jews and Judaism are indigenous to Israel. Arabs and Islam are not.

Palestinianism is a recent invented replacement ideology to destroy Jewish Israel.

The Three Presidents

If you're following the war against Hamas in Gaza and the spill over to the Jew hatred across the US, this hearing on "antisemitism" (Jew hatred as I refer to it) has grabbed a lot of headlines.

The Presidents of Harvard, MIT and University of Pennsylvania were all asked a question by the Republican congresswoman from New York, Elise Stefanik. Her question (which isn't included in full in most of the shared clips) concerns the two chants:

"Globalize the intifada" and "There is only one solution: intifada, revolution".

This is the section which got the widest coverage.

However her full questioning had an earlier 5 min part directed solely at Harvard's President, Dr Claudine Gray. I've put both these into one video.

Stefanik was rightly pointing out the double standards with comprehensive measures against students and staff for speech the left does not like, but nothing against Jew hating speech.

The full line of questioning can be found on C-Span at these two links (from which I made my composite video:

Stefanik then received more time in a second continuation session later which is when the clip which went viral comes from:

for me, this is a pretty hard concept to wrap my head around. I just don't understand how supposedly smart people, especially at Harvard, not see or at least keep to themselves about other peoples religion and upcoming.

I live in a place, where professionalism is the most important thing and that means, such topics could never even come up in these types of environments, especially in a place for students.

The way Harvard teaches and views Israel is indeed a sensitive topic. And to discuss about this matters, open conversation is essential to understanding and resolving them.

Firstly, it is quite obvious that Harvard is more interested in this case. I’m naive so I will just continue to learn more

There must really be an important aim Harvard is into which this so much interest in the case.

I guess the policy of the USA didn't even favour the family bond that should have been done

It is good that now we see that the whole world is talking about the war and trying to end it.
