Jay Morrison really should be ashamed of himself. The only thing 'worse' than racism and white supremacy are black people who prey upon their own people. Admittedly, this is yet another area where the effects of oppression and racial inequality produce predators. They feel nothing because of what they grew up in.
Being on the wrong end of it, makes you feel less concerned about dishing it out, when you get the chance.
Of course, this isn't the case in all cases. But it's certainly the case, with types like this. I personally was a huge fan of the message Jay was spittin in the back of that limo. We all saw that video right? It was a solid message, with hard hitting truths. Because in 'spite' of the obstacles we face, we still do, ultimately have a responsibility to make moves that will pull us out of these circumstances.
These moves include investing, starting businesses, group economics, and other financial moves. That being said, for a lot of 'victims of oppression', all of this is much easier 'said' than done. Which, isn't an excuse but is a reality.
When white people 'just put their minds to it', they tend to be in positive, nurturing environments. Plus, they're white, so they can easily connect with other positive 'reaffirming' communities that assist them in achieving those goals.
I shit you not, this absolutely 'is' white privilege and often, those 'with this privilege' deny having it ... in order to maintain it. You can't take away, what you don't possess ... right?
This is why Jay Morrison should be ashamed. He 'pied piper'd' black people into a 'community of hope', only to ambush them with a bullshit offer. He sold it so well, that no matter how much doubt was expressed, by other black people - even those with serious experience In business, Jay was able to tell people 'those are just haters'. He ... Fake News'd his way to making who knows how much money off this Tulsa Real Estate Fund.
... while sliding the people ... crumbs.

It's far too easy to scam black people. American society has 'beat' black people into positions of desperation. Often ignoring good advice, and going with our emotions. Jay, Umar, and others who prey upon their own community 'should' be ashamed, but also in some ways are victims of this society. It's a savage game out here.... be safe.
