Our featured Lady Angler : Tara Roux!
Extreme Fishing Africa has been asking for nominations for this feature and this young lady was nominated time and again.
Tara definitely has the respect of her peers and us at Extreme Fishing Africa.
Brief fishing history in Tara's words:
'I grew up in Christmas rock South Africa and currently still am residing here.
My dad is a skipper and a fisherman so thatβs how I got into fishing. I asked him if I could go out with him one day for the first time and I was hooked after that.
What made me enjoy it so much was the feeling of my rod bending over, especially when I had a decent fish on. It made me extremely excited to fish my hardest to try catch some monster fish!
It is my favorite sport and Iβm always happy to go fishing. Iβve been fishing for three four years now and I'm loving every moment of it!
Keep it up Tara, you make the other Lady Anglers proud and you are a amazing ambassador for the sport!

Catch of the day, each impressive in size, landing them must have been great!
Heard they had big meet at St Lucia over the weekend which sounds like it went off well. Not an angler myself, did a little when a lot younger and had loads of fun!

Fishing is so much fun, I've been doing it since the age of 4 and now I'm trying to uplift the female angling community so that ladies also get the recognition that they deserve.
