#9/ WANT TO BE A SUCCESSFUL LEADER ? HERE'S HOW !!!

Every successful person who wants to become a leader must pay more attention to a major factor which is "personality development", because it influences one’s attitude toward his team members. This post is devoted to leadership and its characteristics that must be taken into consideration by anyone who wants to become a good leader.

                                 LEADERSHIP

A leader is someone who has the ability to detect the right things to do, serves the people who work for him, listening to their suggestions and advices, which means ; to become a leader is by knowing your team , your strengths and weaknesses. All that requires a big influence on all the members of the team you are working with . So, here are some characteristics that a leader should have to be successful and efficient in his work :

                              A.   CONFIDENCE

No matter how successful you might be, as long as you have a lack of confidence you will not achieve anything. Because those skills of yours will not serve you at any rate and this will make you think that you can not realise your objectives which is absollutly false ! Indeed, being confident is the first step to good leading strategy. By showing empathy and being a strong coach you can lead your group to success.

             B.   STRAIGHTFORWARD   AND   EQUITABLE

If you want people to follow your lead and support, you have to show them that you are honest with them and treat them equally according to their added value, status (do not show to members of the same rank that you prefer one particular person and forget about the other employees, being biased is the worst ). This way you would be able to avoid chaos within the group and have a high and good influence on your team members.

                            C.   PATIENCE

Patience is a test of your capacity and your will. The way to success is rough and full of obstacles, so if you want to achieve your goal as a leader be pacient and work with your employees on a long term strategies that you would develop together . This way you will work with accuracy to accomplish your goals and earn respect of your employees.

                            D.   OPEN-MINDNESS

Indeed, being stuck to a specific goal or dream is a good thing and help you focus on your business and work as a leader. Yet, it becomes a vice when you stick to it no matter what ! So the best thing to do is being more flexible. In the first phase, you should concentrate more on planning, investing and creating good relationship with partners ;( see last post about business success ) .

                             E.     Communication

Communication is a key of leadership, you are responsible of communicating your ideas and instructions to your team members. If ever they are not aware of your expectations it is your fault, so you have to treat work as a collaboration and make everyone in your group feel that they are concerned with every decision you make as a leader.
