Getting Into the Basics

in #learningyesterday

The software I'm using is Kdenlive. I used to post a lot about it specifically, but writing about the details of one program doesn't really help anyone. So instead I'm going to focus on the basics. Create something, go through the process, and if there's nothing to create yet, just learn.

I know DaVinci Resolve exists, and it's good, but it doesn't play well with Linux. Too many technical headaches. Kdenlive runs great on my laptop, no fuss, so that's where I'm starting.

My goal down the line is a proper setup, better hardware, better tools, all of it. But that only makes sense once I've actually used the skill I have in some real way. There's no point upgrading just for the sake of upgrading. Learn first, build the setup around what I actually need, not the other way around.
