HEX game will be all about HEXADECIMAL numbers, and (sometimes) about the number SIX (6)
Choose the random HEX, see what HASH function has to say, and win LEO Booms and LEO voting power.
HEX game
The HEX game works like this:

  • Users create their participation "tickets", by making a random Leothread comment under @hexgame entry gateways (thread posts)

  • These Entry gateways are created once a day, every day, at random times.

  • Entry gateways can be published in Leothreads by @hexgame, @hex.game, @hex-game, @hive-game, and other alternative accounts by TORUK

  • Gateway can be recognised by clear note "HEXGAME JUNE xx" on it, displayed on some HEXAGONAL background picture

  • Participant's ticket creation thread-posts can contain any info, be any length, but there must be TWO important elements present in it, in order for it to become a valid "ticket" :

    • 1st mandatory element is ONE digit of your favour, from a HEXADECIMAL system (0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,A,B,C,D,E,F)
    • 2nd mandatory element is a marketing key-TAG #hexgame

A typical ticket claiming post may be like this: "bal bla bla...nonsense...7 #hexgame", or "bls bla bla...bullshit...F #hexgame", or just simple "A #hexgame"

  • All participants can create as many "tickets" as they want - there is no limits.

  • The important reference element in your ticket is its mark - that 1 character HEX number.

  • As the entries accumulate, created tickets will be grouped in a SIX unit long branches, and their corresponding HEX digits will form the argument for HASHING calculation.

  • The output of the SHA1 hash will determine which tickets are wining.

One branch probably will be always formed from the first SIX TIER-1 entries, placed directly under gateway. (see example picture below)

  • These HEX marks from the tickets will be put together chronologically, to form a 6 HEX digit string for hashing.

  • Repeating participant entries in the SAME Branch will be always ignored (see BRANCH2 and BRANCH4 examples)

  • The output of the hash function (SHA1) is always a string of 40 HEX numbers. The FIRST SIX characters of this output will determine, which HEX marks are winning in that particular branch
    1st digit - 100% BOOM by a ~1 MLN LEO power
    2nd digit - 50% upvote
    3rd digit - 33.33% upvote
    4th digit - 25% upvote
    5th digit - 20% upvote
    6th digit - 16.67% upvote

Like in the example shown, TIER-1 Branch-4 is 6 tickets with marks 8632FA, and sha1(8632FA)=fd6239ccaf81b4cf88754c3e940cddbc8665004f
Winning tickets are fd6239. As we see, only 4 reall winners this time:

User-3 had one repeating entry in TIER-1, so it was skipped, and first 6 non-repeating tickets were taken for this hashing.

  • EACH entry (ticket) on TIER-1 can be also used as the starting point for creating vertical branch, where each following comment is posted as reply to the above sitting comment.

This way (in the example above) a vertical branches #1, #2 and #3 could been formed.
Again, only NON-repeating tickets in the same branch will be used.

  • Each vertical branch also will take FIRST SIX non-repeating ticket marks as hashing argument, and output of SHA1 will determine who are the winners.
  • In case a splitting point (FORK) happens somewhere inside the branch (some entry gets more than one following entries), always only the first, oldest entry in that fork is used.
    See example In Branch-#3, (TIER-2) entries of user-4, user-6 and user-2 formed a fork. User-4 was there the first.

In case some intensive comment editing will be noted from a particular participants (cheat attempt) - additional 7th SALT character maybe used, before the SHA1 hash is calculated.
(anti-cheating measure)

  • The maximum possible Branch quantity each day may reach 1 Horizontal (TIER-1) and up to SIX (6) vertical branches.

  • Once the hashing of 6 entries is calculated - the outcome post will be posted by GATEWAY creator.

  • Tickets can be created up to 7 days after gateway is posted ( provided there are still potential winning space left). NO RUSH.

BONUS prize

Once every week all the 100% BOOM winners (if there are 3 or more) will participate in a last 7 day Super-Hex prize drawings (random draw).
Super-HEX prize ( #shexprize ) will be a 3 week delegation of 20000 LEO power

How much you can do with 20K Leo?

So you may guess, what tactics is the best to win the most?

I think it is obvious, that as long as TIER-1 comment quantity is still below 6 - this is a good place to drop your ticket.
This way you get a chance to participate in 2 branches with just one entry (1 horizontal and 1 vertical)

Then comes the time for vertical branches. Take part in as many as you want ... and can.
But avoid creating repeating entries in the same branch, as it brings no benefit anyway
