The Abundance Mindset: A Total Difference Maker

The world is made up by those who are successful and the rest. When it comes to the numbers, we see a lot more people in the latter category.

With getting ahead, fortunately, the race is not run by many. Most would rather complain and place blame than do what is necessary to succeed. This is true in any area of life.

We see it with fitness. How many fat people are there compared to those who are fit? The same goes with parenting. We see deadbeat parents who basically abandon their children in favor of whatever it is they are chasing. If they are around, they would prefer to be the kid's friend instead of being a parent.

Society is promoting weakness.

There is the entitlement mentality mixed with the "you can have it all nonsense". Both are total bullcrap.

Nobody is going to hand you anything. If they do, that is called slavery. Certainly, it will come with a bow and a bunch of promises. However, in the end, it results in weakness.

At the same time, you can have it all is a total lie. There is a thing called time. We can also couple that with energy. It is easy to get worn down throughout the day. If you think you can do everything, that is a recipe for disaster.

That said, there is a simple mindset that is rare yet is extremely powerful. It is also a total difference maker.

The Abundance Mindset

The abundance mindset can be called different things. Some call it "Big Thinking". Whatever term (or phrase) you want to use, it can convey the same thing.

We live in a universe that is enormous. At the same time, we are on a planet of tremendous resources. Yet, we are constantly bombarded with messages of scarcity.

If you are listening to the mainstream media or, worse, your friends (and family), your default mindset is scarcity. Failure to change this means a life of misery.

The reality is there is plenty out there. It all boils down to you going and getting it. Most attribute this to money. Here is a reality check: there is plenty of money out there. The problem is that few are going to hand it to you.

We all know the power of the Internet. Over time, more wealthary-wealth is generated with each period of technological advancement. We went from the Robber Barons in the 1800s, a handful of industrialists, to thousands making huge sums of money online.

The number of people who became multi-millionaires from the Internet cannot be calculated. However, when we look at the Bloomberg Billionaire Index we see that 17 of the top 50 made their money off technology developed over the last 40 years.

Of course over time, the numbers will keep growing.

Consider the cryptocurrency billionaires. We are in a bear market so the number pulled back. In 2022, there were 19 billionaires who made their money from crypto. How many will there be next bull market? 25? 50?

There were be more crypto billionaires by the end of 2024 (or into 2025) than made it during the 1850s-1930s. The number of wealthy people at that time pales in comparison.

Staking One's Claim

Not everyone is going to be a billionaire. In fact, few of us will.

That said, there are millions to be garnered from this expanding industry. By the mid-2030s, we will likely see more wealth generated from digital assets as compared to the entire Internet to date.

This is how technology works.

The question is are you going to get any of it? Most are going to miss the boat simply because they live with a scarcity mindset.

People seem to think others are lucky. This is where they fail to take responsibility for their failures. The reality, once exposed, it is up to the individual to fail or succeed.

Here is a prime example: I found bitcoin in 2011 or 2012. This was early enough to become a bitcoin millionaire.

Did I buy at that time? No. Therefore, I was not one of the HODLers. Does that mean people who got involved were lucky. Of course not. They took action where I failed to do so. Many got involved in bitcoin in the early days only to sell. To many of them, the HOLDers are lucky too.

Right now bitcoin has a market capitalization of over $500 billion. That is half a trillion dollars that did not exist a bit more than a decade ago. Naturally, with the bear market, that is a serious depressed number compared to where it was.

Failure To Take Advantage Of Opportunities

Most people have plenty of excuses as to why they cannot take advantage of opportunities. Their "reasons" for not succeeding start with a scarcity mindset.

We all have numbers we feel comfortable with. Do you think Elon Musk worries about $100 or $200? What about Tim Cook? Apple lost $200 billion last week. I wonder what the hit to Cook's net worth was.

X lost more than half its value from when Musk purchased it. That is over $20 billion. Does he seem really concerned?

The answer is no. He is very confident that he will make that more valuable in the future. Simply adding payments probably puts that asset over $50 billion based upon the valuation of PayPal.

The point is people think in different numbers. Why do we still fret over peanuts?

My dad once had a client who owned a very successful electrical business. One year, he met with my dad after his taxes were done. He asked what the damage was: $1.8 million is what he owed the government.

His response: is that all?

They were able to offset the tax liability with some land that was donated. To this guy, paying around $2 million in taxes was a bargain compared to where he thought he was going to be.

The digital world is creating even more opportunities. Whether one takes advantage of them or not is up to the individual. Fortunately, for those seeking to stand out, it is easy compared to the masses.

We are seeing things growing on an exponential basis. Yet the majority are conditioned to only think about scarcity and lack.

The next few years are going to see opportunities expanding, probably by an order of multitude as compared to today. The question is how many will see it?

Those who are thinking in terms of abundance are likely to grasp onto something that will propel them forward. As for the rest, well more of the same.

There is no doubt we have more opportunities to make money as compared to ten to fifteen years ago but still many are struggling to make it happen because the more choices or opportunities we have the more lazy we are becoming

Having an abundance mindset could be an edge one has over others who are still stuck in a scarcity mindset. We need to learn how to cultivate a broader perspective to thrive and capitalize in the digital age and the many opportunities it presents to us.

Glad I'm still early. There is more accumulating to do!

I often think this is a big problem here on Hive.

Many come from a scarcity economy to an abundance economy, but they cannot think in different or bigger terms, as you put it.

They are stuck in the scarcity mindset, of a scarcity economy, even though they no longer inhabit it.

I sometimes don't understand their anger and pettiness over very small things, but I suspect it is based in this problem.

In some ways they have stopped developing their minds because they won't open their minds to the abundance economy, and the happiness it brings.

So they are unhappy, angry people, who see the world in limited terms.

It is even hard to have a discussion with them, because they are quick to anger and always hold a grudge.

A sad state of affairs.

I should feel sorry for them, but their anger, and pettiness makes this difficult.

Sigh.

I have good reason to believe that our Common U.S. Coinage will "out-perform" Silver and Gold, in Phase One of the U.S. Monetary Correction...

Fabulous 😍🤩

Yeah this is definitely true,a transformed mindset is a transformed life, life is 100% our responsibility
