Traffic jam!!! Does it happen in your city? Have you had to sit for hours waiting for the road to clear? For many, this is almost a lifestyle just as @minhajulmredol is ranting about it here. Check next thread. #threqds247

The author is worried about the new problem developing in his city - traffic jam. Does that happen in your city too? Tell me #gosh. #traffic

Lol the next name attached to Lagos state is traffic jam, you can spend 8hrs in traffic jam here in Lagos, and there is nothing you can do unless you want to come down and walk to wherever your going to.

I have heard a lot about Lagos traffic. It scares me. I dont think i want to stay in a place like that. How many hours was the longest you spent in a traffic?

I personally have spent 8hrs in traffic and it wasn't funny, at some point I stepped down from the car and was walking side by side with the car.

8 hours? Are you serious? That is almost half of a day. Unbelievable, this is crazy. I dont think i can endure that.

I can't forget that day, we were going for regional convention we left home by 7:am and got to the location by 7pm so it's even more than 8hrs

yes it do happen especially in the evening when workers are coming back from the day activity

Alright. Have you spent up to 1 hour or more in traffic?

More than an hour, in Lagos mainland bridge.

I know it could be Lagos. Its well known for traffic

Don't forget Onitsha

Really, does Onitsha have that much traffic? Waooo I never know.

Yes oooo. And police and bad roads are the main causes of traffic jam

Sure when the roads are not great, you wont be able to pass them. But I think our city does not have much traffic where you spend hours stuck, do they?

No, ours is just minutes

Thats right. I have never been in a traffic for 1 hour anywhere in this city. But there are places where people spend 8 hours on traffic like Lagos. @beauty197 will tell you more about that.

Yes, I've experienced that the last time I traveled to Lagos. From 9pm to 3am. It was Terrible

Lagos is the traffic Jam capital of Nigeria.

Yes it happens everyday in my city and worsen when there's heavy rainfall.

Yes I notice that most roads are flooded after it rains, making all motorist to pile up in the remaining few roads that are not flooded.

We are hoping for a better road construction by our newly elected Governor What do you think?

Hmmm. When you visit on of our markets here called New Maker on a Wednesday or Friday you will understand what the call traffic jam.
You won't even find aa space to step your foot on.

Really? Can one get stuck on the road for like 3 hours? I am yet to experience that.

Then try using that root on Wednesday.

Hahahaha, I wont want to spend my time like that. Since you already confirmed it, I will be avoiding that route seriously.

Traffic happens everywhere especially in densely populated areas. To get to work early, I leave home before Dawn.....so bad

In my city, we dont have traffic beyond few minutes. In Lagos, someone said she has spent 8 hours in traffic. Tell me about the situation in Uyo - your city.

Here in uyo, oron road to be precise, there's heavy traffic jam. You know since it's the road leading to the airport, one has to spend close to 30 mins or more before arriving his destination

Waoo, you actually gave the reason which is the airport. But then 30 minutes is fairly reasonable too. I guess your city is not one know for heavy traffic.

traffic jam is a horrible situation, I remember one of my cousin that missed her job interview because she ran into a very heavy traffic jam some years back in Lagos state, she couldn't stop crying

I hear it happens a lot in Lagos. We're lucky that we dont have such things here.

Yes ooo. I cant live in Lagos. Someone just replied that she once spent 8 hours in Lagos traffic. I mean how do you do that?

This is really bad, especially for the working class people. Thy may always be late for work. Or disstabilized before they reach work.

in my area this too is the other of the day and it happened because of bad roads,I could remember one day I was coming back from work and there was traffic jam I nearly faint because we are packed like ice fish inside the vehicle

Sorry about that. I think our own is due to bad road. But it does not happen often. There are places where you spend many hours in traffic. Have you experienced that type?

Yes somewhere in portharcourt

Yes Portharcourt has traffic problem. I remember. I thought you were talking of Aba.
