Benefits of learning a second language

Hi to all the Steemit community!
Since i was a child i liked a lot the languages and I have a facility to learning it. In the case of english i learned by listening music and watching tv shows with subtitles.
A year ago I discovered the Korean culture and decided to learn the language, even when isn´t easy because the alphabet, I like it so much and I’m trying to do the best to learn it.

Today I want to share you the benefits of learning a second language:

Improve your Brain: When you are bilingual your brain trains so that memory improves, delays aging and keeps the brain active. In fact, research has been conducted in which it was shown that managing a second language improves the ability to learn any other subject, it also helps us to easily switch from one task to another, which helps in making decisions as well as increasing the size of the same.

Delays Alzheimer's: Although it is a disease that can affect anyone, being bilingual can delay its appearance for up to 4 or 5 more years compared to people who speak only one language.

Increases the ability to hear: This is because the brain has to better recognize the sounds of each language so that the ear is sharpened.

Increase your confidence: Once you acquire more skills this affects your self-esteem and your confidence with yourself and your environment.

Traveling will be more fun: When you learn another language, the plan for your vacation changes and you can take a little risk to mix with the natives of the place since the language barrier will no longer exist.

Find new friends: When you are in the learning process you can meet new people, your new language skills will help you communicate better with people from other cultures, which will allow you to establish great friendships and learn a lot from each other.

Better access to information: In many cases there is much more information in the English language, these are translated into Spanish however if you manage the language you can access that information in the time you want. This will help a lot in your academic training.

You can get a better job: By getting better academically you can opt for better jobs, often the knowledge of a second language, usually English, are placed as requirements to enter companies. In fact there are many possibilities that you can receive job offers in other countries and thus have an international career.

You can live, work or study abroad: a second language could open new possibilities of life, which will make you have contact with other cultures and you can learn from them.

You will open your mind: a new language will change your way of seeing the world since you can better understand people. You can compare your behavior with that of other people who develop in another culture and ask you if it is the best or not. As you can expand your horizons in different ways.
