HI STEEMIANS,

This time I will write about how to make a blouse for my eight-year-old daughter.
Often I will buy a little fabric just enough for my child's size.
The width of less than 1 meter is enough for a small blouse,
she's a medium size kid.

To make the blouse is easy actually. Sewing process only takes about an hour,
if we want to get it done quickly. Otherwise, take your time and enjoy sewing.

So let's get started.

NO 1 : Prepare the basic pattern.

I usually draw my sewing pattern using the Adobe Illustrator
before print it out on A4 paper.
Draw 1 set of drawing for each front bodice, back bodice and arm sleeve.
Draft drawing must be base on body measurement, in INCHES or CM.

NO 2 : Transfer pattern to material or fabric and start cutting.

Cut arm sleeve to 2 pieces, cut each for front and back bodice.
Follow the traced outline pattern.

NO 3 : Connect pieces and start sewing.

After joining every part, front & back bodice, attach the arm sleeves together.
For the neck, just finish by putting a layer of cloth/fabric or interfacing, then stitch.

For the final touches sew button holes and buttons to the blouse.
For this particular top, I choose to put button at the front.

NO 4: Button hole & button.

And this is how the blouse should look like..

Such a cute dress ^^ Looks like a very simple process! Should try it out one day when if I have children haha.

Certainly worth trying, even if you want to make one for yourself.
You may find quite similar experience between 'art' and 'craft therapy'
Tq so much & good luck!

no need to have daughter to make this dress : you can make it for yourself, just have to change the size, ha!ha! thank you for this step by step sewing work, I'll try it !
