Our local park usually provides the grounds for exercise, recreational walks or kicking a football about for myself and the missus. Today though, it was the backdrop for a great little event catering mainly towards the residents of the area. Though anyone was welcome, really.
Several stands were set up serving hotdogs, burgers and small pizzas. So, obviously I spent most of my time in that vicinity. Elsewhere, they had erected a convenient medium-sized stage where a talented kids group performed some classics of the past. Including an awesome rendition of Guns 'n' Roses track, Welcome to the Jungle! Can't go wrong with that absolute beauty from yesteryear, right?
All in all, a fantastic afternoon. I'm still in awe at how spectacular the weather here in London still is. Just goes to show how something as simple as that seems to bring people together in the best sorts of way possible. May it long continue and lead to more memorable days such as this one... :)
