To me, this marks the real end of the year.
From here on, it's going to get brighter every day.
For 2023 I had planned to nuke this account, by starting to flag certain authors.
This would have caused retaliation and I was prepared to just start a new account to post from, or to abandon blogging entirely.
During the last weeks, I felt like blogging again.
The way Hive is moving, is still frustrating to me.
And I'll keep posting about that.
I won't give in to the negativity, though. I got shit to do...
Positive things in 2023
AI
After overcoming my innitial scepticism, I have started using AI - OpenAI's chatGPT specifically.
I believe this is the most important thing that happened and I am optimistic about it.
This could be as important as the discovery of fire. It will change everything.
It concerns everybody and everybody should look into it. Now.
Personal growth
- I finally found the motivation to overcome my last 'sticking points' regarding software engineering and I am confident I can launch my first apps next year.
- I have found new tools to accelerate the way I build software.
- I have found some new accounts on Hive and the web to communicate and build with.
- I have identified and consequently abandoned a lot of concepts and patterns that were holding me back.
- I went on a very specific diet and even though I finished it, some things changed permanently and it altered my palette and appetite and I think I will be able to eat healthier in a more sustainable way in the future.
- I am about to finalize my application for a new job and I am confident, that I will get hired.
Even though some terrible things happened around me, now that I am focusing on the good stuff to write this post, I realize that overall this wasn't a bad year.
I am looking forward to 2024 now.

It is worth choosing to look at the positive, it gives strength to keep pushing and not lose hope that we can improve what we don’t like, and that is achieved from within.
I felt similarly about the Hive blockchain until the recent past, then I defeated this frustration by choosing to write mostly for myself. Nowadays mostly I use the Hive blockchain as a personal diary.
Writing about the bad things of the Hive blockchain is not negativity. As long as what we write is true, it is simply realism and honesty. At least this is what I think. Some people do not agree with me. They think that it is "complaining" and "negativity". They like to maintain fake positivity. An imagine. An appearance. And the truth shatters that. The truth hurts them. The worst I received from them so far was one week silence on the Ecency Discord server. Just because I wrote the truth multiple times.
Probably you already discovered it, but AI can also help with this. I do not use it, but I heard from others that it is useful/helpful.

Schon lustig mit dem Polizisten, kann aber Charlies Gelaber nicht mehr hören. Der bringt ja interessante Sachen und macht lustige Sprüche, aber irgendwie ist jedes Video gleich.
Find ich gut, dass du dich auf die positiven Sachen konzentrierst. Ich will nicht zu überheblich klingen, aber sich auf die negativen Sachen zu konzentrieren ist für mich pubertäres Verhalten. Ist ja auch OK als Jugendlicher rebellisch zu sein und zu meckern. Wenn man älter wird merkt man das man am besten möglichst wenig Zeit auf diese ganzen Windmühlen (Der Staat, Das Kapital, Politiker, (((Them))),...) verschwendet und sich pragmatisch auf die positiven Aspekte des Lebens besinnt, auf die Sachen die einen weiterbringen.
Hast du ja in diesem Post bereits gemacht, ich wollte das nur noch mal zu dem Thema anmerken. Ich hätte schon Bock mit dir irgendein Projekt im Januar umzusetzen, du bist ja auch Frühaufsteher. Wenn es halt Linux Admin Crash Course ist, dann von mir aus auch das. Zusammen lernt es sich ja oft leichter als allein.
